Casa Angel

Casa Angel in Sayulita was designed by Miguel Valverde, a well known Mexican Architect whose work has been featured in Houses of the Pacific Coast. It is so lovely and graceful, that when you sit in the pool, you will find yourself staring up at it and smiling. And what a setting! The expansive ocean view includes a long stretch of rugged coastline, the palm-lined beach, as well as the lagoon where the fishermen of Sayulita moor their boats. On the land side, Casa Angel sits directly beside a wild and completely undeveloped jungle canyon. The ocean breezes are nearly constant, and you can fall to sleep to the gentle sound of waves breaking on the shore. At night, the lights of Sayulita glitter below. The sunsets are magnificent, and in every room are large wooden doors and windows, which fold open to create an airy indoor/outdoor lifestyle perfect for the tropics.

Surrounding Casa Angel is an extensive, flower-filled garden, and a lush level lawn. Beyond the lawn is a gracefully curved heated saltwater pool, not a dipping pool, but one that is large enough to swim laps. And it’s all yours. Since there are no casitas or other units on the property, once you close the garden gate behind you, no one will enter except at your invitation. Lounge in the sunshine and take a night swim in the sparkling lighted pool.

Casa Angel in Sayulita features three totally separate, private bedrooms with adjoining baths. The upstairs Master Bedroom is ringed with a flower box filled with flowers. The other upstairs white bedroom has a beautiful view of the water. The downstairs bedroom opens directly onto the patio and pool, and not only has a gorgeous ocean view, but looks out as well into the wild jungle canyon. 

The breathtaking natural surroundings, combined with an exceptional attention to detail, literally surround you with beauty. Ringing the floors of each of the round rooms, as well as in the mirador, pool, patio, and paths you will find delicate inlaid stone vines and flowers by talented artisan Lupe Ascencia. Towering above the upstairs bedrooms are palapas, whose workmanship will amaze and delight you. 

Casa Angel offers luxury furninghings throughout. In the Master Bedroom you will find fine hardwood furniture from Malaysia, and in the downstairs bedroom, a beautiful white four poster bed with a canopy.  The white room has locally made furnishing and art work. Curvy wrought iron outdoor chairs and a marble table allow you to eat outdoors in style, while chaise lounges and chairs imported from the U.S make you comfortable around the pool. The kitchen counters and the patio are crafted of a beautiful mango colored local rock called Tekul. The new furnishings in the living room and updated kitchen makes for wonderful entertaining.

Casa Angel in Sayulita would be the perfect place for a honeymoon. But if you aren’t on your honeymoon, why not treat yourself to this anyway?

A house manager and I will keep in contact with guests during their stay. Chemo the gardener will care for the garden three times a week. Carmina our maid will clean three days a week except Sunday and holidays (unless this is not wanted.). Our local English and Spanish speaking house manager and  I  will be available to handle any problems or questions which arise. Air conditioning is available during the summer in all three bedrooms, and is not needed at other times because of the almost constant ocean breezes. The walk down to the beach is only about five minutes, but because the house sits high on a hill, if you are disabled or out of shape for walking, you may wish to bring a car or rent a golf cart, which you can park in the palapa covered carport just beyond the garden gate. The house is located on a good cobblestone road.

Sayulita has ongoing construction projects throughout the town and in several neighborhoods which may or may not take place during your stay.
