Fantastic wedding photographer!
Joann was recommended to me by our wedding planner, Yazmin, of Sea of Dreams Weddings. We initially talked over the phone to discuss the wedding details, our vision, etc. She was very easy to talk to, understood our needs and we liked her immediately.
During our wedding week, she went above and beyond to capture all of the activities, including our sailing trip and the rehearsal dinner. She was extremely friendly and all our guests enjoyed having her around.
She was also very creative with backgrounds and locations for shots during and before the wedding. She knows her way around Sayulita extremely well and has great relationships with hotel and restaurant owners, so you are able to shoot pretty much anywhere you want around town.
When we got our pictures we were beyond thrilled. They are gorgeous and totally capture the magic of the week and our wedding. We love Joann and would recommend her highly to anyone getting married in Sayulita (or in anywhere else for that matter!).

The Best!
Joann photographed our wedding last year and we couldn't have been happier with the pictures. She exceeded all of our expectations-on a personal and professional level. She made us feel completely comfortable in front on the camera (no small feat for me), and she captured candid moments and composed images with an incredible eye for detail and beauty. Joann blended seamlessly into the event and we were hardly aware of her presence, yet her pictures are a virtual video of the evening. We received our pictures in a very short period of time and were so pleased with everything. Nothing but the highest praise for Joann's artistry, professionalism and winning personality!

Best Sayulita Wedding Photographer...EVER!!!
We had the honor and pleasure of having Joann Arruda photograph our wedding in Sayulita, Mexico, October 2010. She was fantastic throughout the whole process and went above and beyond the call of duty for us. Joanne not only took beautiful pictures, but also helped us find the perfect location for our wedding. She put a ton of energy into helping us before, after and throughout the whole process.
