Bacabes provides all the attention and amenities that you would expect and hope for from your dream holiday but our essence is born from our location. Perched upon a palm strewn hillside of a private beach, we boast four open air villas each with three closed bedrooms and one upper studio level. We invite you to share our panoramic ocean and coastline views, allowing the clean Pacific breeze and gentle whisper of the rolling waves to envelope you in the luxury of nature.
A five minute drive or 15-20 minute walk from the center of Sayulita you will be close enough to take full advantage of everything you would expect from a friendly, bustling Mexican surf village. With numerous galleries, shops and restaurants you may indeed find yourself tempted to extend your stay. But if it is a true holiday getaway you’re after we have everything on site to cater to the requirements of seclusion. Breakfast is served continental style each morning to rouse you with sweet local fruits, freshly brewed coffee and home baked pastries. There is a central palapa with a large kitchen and dinning area. We have a personal Chef who can prepare lunch and/or dinner upon request. Villa Pelicano, which sits highest on the property, has it’s own kitchenette as well. You will find our home to be your home. You are free to explore the surrounding jungle or watch birds floating past from the comfort of your terrace. Relax on our thirty meters of wild and beautiful private beach or read a book, paint a picture or simply watch whales from the pool area. We have on site Spanish/English speaking management to ensure your comfort, answer any questions and offer a thorough knowledge of the area.

The four Villas available for rent are: Villa Pelicano, Villa Chachalaca, Villa Ballena and Villa Iguana. (Villa Ballena is the only one with an open air private suite.)
Activities
Bacabes is perfectly situated if you are a fan of hiking. There are plenty of tracks through the jungle and to other near by beaches and hill sides. From our private beach you can make your way across sand and rock (and occationally boulder) all the way to Sayulita beach and town if you like. Either will awaken and energise you in the morning or to seal your day with a beautiful sunset.
We have a tennis court for paddle tennis and can provide rackets and balls upon request.
If you like yoga we are roughly a 10-15 minute walk from the Haramara Retreat where you can take yoga classes with world reknowned teachers.
Our private beach and pool in the hot sun and sea breeze are gladly at you service all day every day.
If you rent the whole villa or the private suite we have a selection of movies that you can watch in the T.V. area of the second level private suite.

From november 1st until April 31st We only accept resevations for a whole Villa. (Requests can be made for December for either upper level or ground level reservation depending upon availability)

A car shuttle service into Sayulita which runs daily every 2 hours from 9am.
Mountain bikes, kayacks and paddle tennis equiptment can be rented.
Our personal Chef will be happy to prepare the dish of your preference upon request for lunch and/or dinner for $25 a head.
TEMAZCAL
We have the honor of offering this ancient, Nahuatl ritual to our guests. This old tradition gives praise and thanks to mother earth and allows for the cleansing of the soul. Large lava rocks are heat by the burning of logs in the center of the Temazcal - an igloo shaped enclosure often and in this case made from stone and concrete. Afterwards the ash is cleaned away and participents may enter, moving from the left side around to the right to become seated on a mat. When ready the doors are closed. There is no light inside as water is thrown on the hot rock to creat steam. There are "Four Doors" of praise, each one represents something to give thanks to. Each Door is addressed verbally and a break is take after each. Instrumants and wild herbs are taken into the Temazcal.
This tradition has also been practices for thousands of years by Mayan cultures. It is truly a wonderful and energising experience. Temazcals shall be held 3 times a week. You place can be reserved on the name list at the office. The charge is $45 per person. Pictures in Gallery.
Check in is any time after 12 noon and check out is at 11 o’clock on the morning of your departure. Bacabes age minimum is 16 years old, unless the whole villa is rented. For special request please contact us. No pets are allowed. No illicit substances or parties on the premisis.
