Now you can take those trips to Guadalajara and Tonala, or maybe Gaunajuato and San Miguel de Allende, with the peace-of-mind knowing that your pet is safe and comfortable having his or her own vacation back in Lo de Marcos. It’s like a camp for dogs since they are usually together for most of the day, with a few exceptions. We also offer a very affordable Doggie Day Care service for those clients that head to Puerto Vallarta shopping for the day or off to Sayulita or San Pancho for a relaxing lunch. No more worrying about your dog being locked up in a house or hot trailer. There’s always a breeze under the shady palapa.

Our almost state-of-the-art Grooming Salon comes with everything needed to give your dog a first-class, professional grooming experience . . . and we guarantee they will look GREAT based on our years of experience in the grooming industry. Special care and attention is always given to senior pets.

We also offer a Pet Taxi service for your convenience. We pick-up and deliver dogs and cats that are visiting our facility.

Our facility is 5 blocks from the beach, located inside a 600 square meter lot surrounded by a large brick wall. In addition to our high standard of cleanliness, we always maintain a safe and comfortable environment for our guests. Our facility has two entry gates just to make sure that no pets accidentally escape thru the gates while someone is entering or leaving the grounds.

All reservations and appointments are highly recommended due to limited space. The winter is a very busy grooming season and the summer is a very busy boarding season. Email is the easiest way to make reservations.

All dogs MUST be on a flea & tick prevention for boarding or Doggie Day Care. We usually have Frontline Plus for sale at our facility. If you are planning on bringing your dog to Mexico, BE SURE to get them on a tick preventative program. I have found Frontline Plus to be the most effective down here in the Puerto Vallarta tropical climate, but I have also found a small percentage immune to this product. Sometimes is helps to change to Advantix for 2 months, then back to Frontline Plus. Let me clarify that I am NOT a veterinarian. I am only sharing my personal experience with thousands of dogs.

The new Cat House at Beach Dog Boarding & Salon is finally complete and it turned out great! We’ve been boarding cats for over 3 years now, and it’s been a challenge at times, but now we are excited to invite your cats and kittens to stay in our new Cat House. The spacious cat house consists of 2 brick walls and 2 cyclone fencing walls with a nice roof which keeps the breeze flowing thru. It is 100% escape proof for cats, and even has a double door security. The cats get fresh food and water, as well as getting their kitty letter tub cleaned twice a day and they also get lots of attention. The cats here at Beach Dog Boarding & Salon are always entertained between watching the birds in the cage thru the cyclone fence in the room next door, watching the dogs play out in their dog area, or watching our 4 cats that live here full time. There’s rarely a dull moment, yet they have plenty of privacy when they want it.

Pet Grooming:

Beach Dog Boarding & Salon offers professional and experienced grooming services . . . from a full-service bath, to the Breed-Profile cuts, to the Magnificent Mutt cuts . . . we guarantee you dog will look their best when they leave our ALMOST state-of-the- art grooming salon, complete with a large, walk-in tiled tub for big dogs. Our grooming salon is stocked with everything needed to make your pet look their best.

All pets are given two shampoos using top quality Coat Handler shampoo, followed by Coat Handler coat & skin conditioner. Ears are also cleaned during the bath with Oxy Fresh ear cleaner from the states which has a drying agent in it, so no worry about an ear infection. After your pet has been towel-dried, they are completely dried with a high velocity dryer (specifically for dogs) and thoroughly brushed and combed out. We always use warm water during their bath. Nails are filed using a Drummel file so we don’t cut their kwik. If needed dogs are given a sanitary trim and their feet are neatened up and trimed.

When your pet is finished, they are placed in a clean and safe modular cage with frest water until they are picked up. We specialize in the Terrier Group Special care and attention is given to senior pets. Please be sure you pet has had the opportunity to relieve themselves before bringing them in for their appointment since they will be confined for awhile. You can usually plan on 4 to 6 hours for your pet to be bathed or groomed, depending on their condition and our schedule.
