The house is located at the north-end of Sayulita, which is less crowded, very quiet and tranquil, but only about a 10-15 minute walk along the beach, or 3-minute drive to the village. The beach is across the street (about a 2 minute walk down a garden path.)
2 Bedroom/ 2.5 bath with
2 separate master bedroom suites (great for 2 couples or a family).
The upstairs bedroom suite has a queen bed, study/dressing room, terrace. The attached bath has an outdoor shower with total privacy.
The downstairs bedroom is very large with a queen bed, sitting area, dressing area, attached bath. Also a terrace with a shallow splash pool.
The house has the following amenities: fully stocked kitchen with dishwasher, washer/dryer, stereo, TV with DVD and VCR (and lots of movies), BBQ, ceiling fans throughout and linens. Maid and gardener service is twice a week. All new linens in November 2010.
THIS IS A NON-SMOKING HOUSE.

Guests had this to say.... (and see more reviews below)
"We had a great time at Casa Calabaza. We loved the quiet, the privacy, the openness, the view from the kitchen, the outdoor shower, the geckos on the walls, the walk into town. You have a unique and beautiful home there and we enjoyed it very much.
And we loved Sayulita. It’s a beautiful place with great energy. We spent a day in Puerto Vallarta and passed through Nuevo on another day. We felt so relieved on returning to Sayulita. Definitely our kind of place."

"We found your home to be a terrific property, in very good condition and in a great location. Everything went beautifully and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We particularly enjoyed the beautiful design, wonderful floor plan and tasteful decorating of your home. The open panoramic view and airiness of the palapa was outstanding. We also appreciated how well equipped and well stocked the kitchen and bathrooms were. The overall repair and cleanliness of the home and property was very good and Jocelyn [local house manager] was also very helpful when needed.
We really enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning some day soon."

A Piece of Heaven
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Casa Calabaza last week, with perfect weather, no bugs, no noise, and the sound of the ocean lulling us to sleep. I came down with my 19 year old daughter and a friend of hers and the house was ideal for two generations, with a separation of the master suite upstairs and another huge bedroom downstairs. The open air living room was heaven. We had visited over 5 years ago and the trees had definitely grown up around the house. (This area was once jungle, after all.) But unlike the reviewer who was disappointed, I enjoyed the sense of privacy, away from civilization but only a short walk to the beach and a comfortable walk to the town square. The neighbors told us they were getting ready to trim back their trees, so I expect there will be a full view of the ocean the next time we visit. We're looking forward to returning next year!

Breath taking
My family just stayed at Casa Calabaza and really loved it. The main living space on the second floor with the giant palapa ceiling is a gorgeous spot nestled up above the jungle overlooking the ocean only two blocks away. It just has a great feeling and we were really happy we found it.
