Rooster Fish
The mahi mahi were not biting so we went close inshore around Escondido Beach in search of Rooster fish. What an amazing morning fishing. Two Rooster fish (25 and 20 lbs) plus three Toros from 15 to 20 lbs!!!

An excellent morning of fishing with a great operator in Captain Pablo.

Thanks Patty and the crew.

Fantastic Fly Fishing
I have been fly fishing in Puerto Vallarta for the past 12 years. This was my first year fishing with Captain Pablo's group. I spent 4 days fishing with Willie and Poncho, Willie is an English speaking experienced fly fishing guide who is an excellent boat man, and very familiar with all the fishing spots around Sayulita.
If you are like me, you hate trolling. After catching sardines, as chum, Willie will take you to where the fish are. I was specifically after roosters, but they were not around. Willie took me to spots where we caught bonito, tuna, and other fish on almost every cast. On the final day, after catching over 20 fish, we decided to look for dorado or sailfish.
We lucked out and hooked 6 doardo and landed 2, all on the fly rod.
In summing up, I highly recommend that you call Patty Southworth in Sayulita, if you want to fly fish while visiting. PV.

Great time!
Patty was VERY easy to work with. We had a good time and caught some delicious blackfin tuna. Patty made sure the fish were cleaned/filleted and gave us a great recipe for poke. Highly recommend!

The best experience ever!
We went on a whale tour on Christmas eve. It was magical. We saw a huge pod of whales, a swimming turtle, Dolphins and snorkeled too. The guide was the nicest, most accommodating young man. Everyone associated with this outfit seemed dedicated to truly giving an enjoyable experience. Highly recommend them!

Great experience! Cant wait to do it again
This was one of the best fishing experience of my life! Our captain was very knowledgeable, and spoke excellent English. (Sadly I have forgotten his name). My Boyfriend had broken his back when he was a teenager and our captain was very accommodating riding the waves very smoothly. There was no hard crashing bumps and no back issues or pain we felt or experienced later. We caught blue and yellow fin tuna, and benito. Site seeing out on the Ocean was amazing we saw a whale, a bird riding on a turtle! dolphins (right by the boat) and my boyfriends swears he saw a marlin. The price is reasonable and I highly recommend Captain Pablo's Fishing Tours, I cant wait to go again!

excellent service with knowledgeable guides
We had a fantastic three days of fishing with Capt. Pablos. Our guide Williams was very skilled and knowledgeable as well as energetic and fun. He had a great sense of humor and spoke excellent english. He put forth all the extra effort needed to exemplify great service. The fishing was excellent! Williams searched harder and drove further than other guides to put us on the fish. 15 Dorado, a giant Wahoo, and more Bonita and Spanish Mackerel than we could ship home with us. Not to mention we saw lots of whales, sea turtles, dolphins, and jumping sting rays; to round out three great days on the water. On shore, the restaurant staff at Capt. Pablos was quick and efficient and very friendly . The food was excellent. They also kindly cooked some of our fresh catch. Paul and Patricia run a fun, laid back, and professional operation in Sayulita. They can accommodate anyone whether you want surf lessons, snorkeling, marine wildlife excursions, world class fishing, or a relaxed evening at a great restaurant. We will be returning next year.
fish on!

Best fishing in all of Sayulita
Big Paul and his captain William sent us out first thing in the morning. We spent about a half hour catching live bait, then out to catch some fish. William gave us an option of about 10-15 different fish to catch . We decided on red snapper and Bonita. We caught way more that we could eat. I must have caught 20 red snapper just my self we also caught 2 enormous Bonita and probably a 10 pound dorado. Aside from all the fish we caught captain William made it an awesome trip,he spoke good English and was quite the comedian. When we got back to shore we picked the fish we wanted to eat(gave the rest to William and his family) and Paul had them filleted and grilled to perfection when we came back at supper time. Best fish i have ever tasted! don't waste your time going anywhere else, Captain Pablo's is where its at!!!

Awesome Las Marietas Boat Adventure
Our group of 4 rented a boat for the afternoon and Willy took us to Las Marietas to snorkel and swim. The caves were super cool and the amazing beach that you get to by swimming through a rocky arch is a must-see.

Willy was so accommodating the whole time, chasing down whales every time we saw a tail or blowhole in the distance. We even ended up seeing a baby and mom whale and dolphin all swimming together, and we rolled up right alongside them so we could watch the baby jump and the mom and dolphin swim along. It was crazy.

At Las Marietas he maneuvered the boat into the little nooks on the side of the island, which was really cool. The waves were much bigger on the ride back to Sayulita and he expertly steered the boat through the choppy waters.

We would definitely recommend renting a boat from Pablo for the afternoon and visiting Las Marietas.
