Description

Casita Caracolita at Casa Caracol in Sayulita is one of three casitas on the estate, stepped down in a hillside setting. Caracolita is the upper unit. The casitas are in a private setting of the property and are not visible from the main house.High speed internet and a great swimming pool and palapa area! There is construction on the property in front of us. It is enclosed and now they are working inside. Our views have unfortunately been obstructed. Nightly reduction in rates can be negotiated.

Manicured walks and rock staircases lead to the private entrance of Casita Caracol from the street entrance as well as to the palapa gazebo and pool located at the "height" of the estate. The location and design of both buildings ensure privacy for everyone vacationing at the estate. Wrought iron fencing defines the private yard areas of the Casa, with wrought iron railings and stone lined paths defining the private areas of each casita.

Casa Caracolita

This unique casita features both indoor and outdoor living areas, enhancing guests' enjoyment of Sayulita's tropical climate, and of the mountain and town views offered by the sloping site. The outdoor living area comprises an 800-square foot rooftop terrace that is set aside exclusively for occupants of Caracolita. The terrace features extensive viewing areas, along with a concrete Caracol-style outdoor palapa complete with bar area, sink and charcoal barbeque and dining table for 4. It has great high speed internet.

This indoor living area comprises self-contained +/- 400 square foot casita with compact kitchen complete with two-burner gas stove, microwave and full refrigerator. It has a full bathroom, a queen-size bed and a sofa sitting area. The casita has full western views from the traditional Parota wood-sash windows. Caracolita sleeps two and has air-conditioning in the sleeping area.

Perfect For Us

We are a couple age 60 and recently had the pleasure of staying at Casa Caracolita. Like many others who have posted reviews, we found Caracolita to be a delight. We spent a lot of our time enjoying the gorgeous views from the huge private terrace, and loved cooking dinner on the gas grille. The suite was very comfortable and secure, and everything was in perfect working order. If you enjoy comfort, privacy and a relaxed vibe then this gem will definitely fit the bill for you.

Everything was amazing!

This vacation rental is incredible in every way, most especially the views, large patio with outdoor living, architecture, and overall jungle-feel setting. The host was very kind and responsive over email. We loved being up high above the town, looking over other properties and the ocean, and the walk up and down to town each day offered a welcome stretch of the legs. Our only advice is to buy earplugs since the plaza is a few blocks below and can be noisy at night. In fact, in my experience of all the vacation rentals on this trip, I wish they all had noise machines to cancel out the music, cars, roosters, construction, celebratory cannons, and fireworks, but I also know that's part of getting to stay in the heart of these little towns. During the day, this casita was incredibly peaceful.

Highly Recommend!

Casita Caracolita exceeds expectations, the location is perfect - set back enough from town but still a quick walk in (steep incline on the hill but it’s a quick walk and well worth it to be a little removed from the city center). It had everything we needed - purified/filtered water in a 5 gal dispenser (plenty for the stay), clean towels, and kitchen/fridge if you want to cook or make your own drinks. Woke up and enjoyed coffee on the deck and spent our days at the beach or relaxing by the pool. There are lots of great restaurants to explore. Could not recommend this place enough, we hope to be back!

Comfortable, Great Views, and Well Kept

Stayed at this casita during last week of December. Location is great walking distance to the plaza and everything but also not too close. Property is on a hill- great exercise walking up stairs - this gives it great views. Property is well kept, great views and pool. Jo-Ann respects privacy and we lacked nothing. During holidays they might be some celebrations noise- easy to get ear plugs at any pharmacy for a few dollars. Will return.

Such a gem!

Casa Caracol is truly a paradise. I haven’t stayed at many vacation rentals where the place itself exceeds my expectations based off of the pictures on the listing. The property is incredibly beautiful and romantic. The view from the spacious outdoor patio makes you feel as if you are on a cloud overlooking the entire town of Sayulita. There are sections of the patio that are private and secluded from other guests staying on the property which makes you feel like you have the entire property to yourself. The pool common space was just as amazing, and often wasn’t occupied, giving you that sense of total privacy and relaxation. The home itself was cozy and clean, and all the employees on the property were friendly and helpful. The host was also incredible. Jo-Ann helped us out beyond what is expected of a host, and was happy to assist with any of our needs or question.

We had an amazing week at Caracol! The casita is exactly as advertised, and is just far enough out of town to escape the noise, but less than a 5-minute walk down to the center of everything. The kitchen was well equipped and had everything we needed to cook our meals. Jo-Ann was very responsive to questions and requests, and the staff on-site were so helpful when we needed anything. We spent a lot of time enjoying the view from the patio, and at the pool, and are already looking forward to our return.

Better than expected

La Casita Jardin at Casa Caracol exceeded our expectations and we would highly recommend a stay! Just a 5 min walk to the center of Sayulita (bars, restaurants, shops) and another couple more to the beach. Jo-Ann was a wonderful and responsive host, and no doubt Lucky the dog was as friendly and loving as advertised!

Can't wait to come back!

Jo-Ann is a wonderful host with a beautiful home. The property is gorgeous and the view is breathtaking. We enjoyed the pool and cabana area and had lovely breakfasts on our patio. The location is an easy (uphill) walk from town. Lucky, the resident lab, was the best welcome every time we returned. Lucky, we’ll be back soon!

Can't wait to come back!

Everything was perfect during our stay at Casa Caracol. We had everything we could want and need. We used the little kitchen every morning for breakfast. And, of course, it's great to have a fridge to keep the cerveza cold. The views were great, the showers were hot and the bed was very comfortable! The pool was an amazing added bonus! Until the next time.

Absolutely Amazing Experience

One of the reasons that we chose to stay here was because of the awesome reviews. They were all true and we really enjoyed our stay. The casita was actually more spacious than we thought it would be. It is on a property that gives you an incredible view of the ocean and Sayulita. The full-time gardener keeps the landscaping of the property pristine and verdant. Jo-Ann and her husband live on the property. They very much respected our privacy, but were also available to give us tips and address any issues that arose. We definitely recommend the property and would come again. Things to know. There were some comments about the noise of construction. There was a lot of construction in Sayulita, but noise was not a problem at all for us and I am a very light sleeper. The comments about the steep walk are true so I had no guilt about not going to the gym! And the steep hike is why you get the fabulous views (totally worth it). We drove from Puerto Vallarta in a rental car. The casita was not easy to find even though Jo-Ann gave really good directions. If you drive, try to get there in the daytime because the road signage is not obvious. You can't go wrong with a stay here.
