Great Place!
For my 7th time in Sayulita, we stayed 18 nights. Nice safe neighbourhood, far enough from the village night life that can go on late in the night. Mexican vibe neighbourhood, with a mix of local and tourist neighbours. Easy 5 to 10 minute walk to the beach ( depends if you go to the south or north end beach ). Very clean and spacious villa. House has everything you need, especially in kitchen ( witch most places I have stayed in Sayulita don't have ). 2 bathrooms with showers. Always nice and cool inside, even during the day. Strong ceiling fans in every room. Roosters and dogs in the morning like everywhere else in Mexico. I definitely recommend Casa Ihana to everyone who wants a nice Mexican place to stay. Will definitely stay here again :)

Very restful time
We spent 9 days here sharing this charming house with another couple. We had plenty of privacy and rest time. We were there during a recent national holiday so there was a bit of extra noise from music and fireworks but we were there to enjoy something different! Ear plugs helped to ignore the roosters, etc.! The house was perfect for us.

Cute, cozy and comfortable!
My boyfriend and I stayed for 10 nights, and would recommend Casa Ihana for those looking for a laid back and authentic "create your own adventure" trip to Mexico. The house was very secure, cool and comfortable with a private backyard filled with interesting plant and flowers and two very comfortable hamocks. It is equipped with everything you will need, but you will need to purchase drinking water we also needed to purchase toilet paper half way through our stay. The truck drives around daily and will deliver right to your door. There are also other vendors that come around selling bread, fruit, and fish.
The house is located in a fairly active neighborhood with Mexican families and other vacation rentals so during the day there is the hustle and bustle of daily life and the noise that comes along with it, it is generally quiet at night but there are lots of dogs, and roosters so be prepared for early morning cock-a-doodle-dos!
The quickest way to the beach is via the foot bridge, through the lot by the bus stop and left down the residential streets. This will land you at a part of the beach that is less busy and where we spend most of our beach time. There are so many great restaurants and food vendors walking distance, but one of our most memorable meals was cooked in the kitchen fresh mahi-mahi and prawns are very cheap.
We loved being able to experience Sayulita and Mexico in a more authentic way and being able to explore the area and if all inclusive reports aren’t your cup of tea I would highly recommend staying at Casa Ihana!

Great Accommodations!
Nestled in a rural neighborhood of Sayulita is Casa Ihana. The owner, Karla, has done a wonderful job finishing the lower level of her house with beautiful artwork and bright colors. The geckos will chirp at you from behind some of the wall hangings, and the roosters and dogs will certainly wake you up early in the morning to get your day started. There is a small outdoor area with hammocks and a table and chairs to sit in, but it is very small. Music also abounds in the evenings coming from the neighborhood homes.
My friends and I treated ourselves sitting at ocean's front at Capitan Cook's restaurant almost every day. It is a short walk to the beach from Casa Ihana, and you pass a small grocery store for things you might need without walking back into town, and a great barbeque place where they grill chicken and ribs and the smell entices you to come join them.
Finding a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom as wonderful as this will be hard to find any closer to town! So, enjoy, my friends and I certainly did!

Perfect home away from home
We stayed in Casa Ihana for 16 days and will be back again. It is bright, airy, comfortable and secure. We were able to quickly walk to and from town and the beaches, but were just far enough removed from the touristy areas to make our stay feel authentic. The casa is located on a dirt road in a residential area; at night you can hear local families getting together to socialize and during the day the streets buzz with water trucks and children on their way to school. Geckos chirp from behind the tropical art work, promising to guard the house against bugs.
There was an abundance of clean linens, and there is a full-service laundrette just around the corner should you need to machine wash your clothes. The owner, Karla, was very helpful and quick to reply to emails. The local caretaker, Zulma, was so very kind and patient with our terrible Spanish. She made us feel at home and was helpful with information about garbage days and how to purchase large jugs of water.
Our children have already asked if we can stay in the same house next year.

Lovely vacation home!!
We enjoyed our week long stay at Casa Ihana last December. It is a tranquil home with everything going for it. Everything was well organized, clean and very welcoming when we reached. The kitchen is well equipped, the rooms are decent sized with plenty of storage space and there is a yard too. The location is very quiet and peaceful.
The owner went to great lengths to ensure our comfort there. We reached Sayulita when it was already dark, without a car and with 2 kids. But her directions were precise and we found the house and got settled in no time at all.
The house is pretty with a sea theme. We found the living area comfortable with plenty of space to relax and unwind. The kitchen and dining area are also large enough. We were perfectly at home there, absolutely no complaints. Its full value for the money you pay definitely!! Thank you!
