Casa Lucas

We were 3 families (6 adults, 4 kids) during holiday season (dec 26 to jan 6) and we really enjoyed our stay at Casa Lucas ! There were planty of space for our party of 10. First, you couldn't ask for a better location. A few steps from the swimming pool and the beach, and just a few minutes walk from the city center. Everything we needed was close at hand, fruits and vegetables, market, grocery, restaurants, while being away from crowds and noise. The beach in front of the villa is much less crowded than the one in the city center, which is very pleasant. We greatly appreciated everything that was included: beach chairs and umbrella, bedding, shower and beach towels, basic cooking items, soap and shampoo. To our great surprise, even a cleaning service every 2 days was included. The cleanliness of the Casa seems altered by its age. Looking at the other villas in the complex, we see that this villa has had a little less love in recent years. However, the place is very comfortable and fully met our needs. The view of the sea from the 2nd floor is very pleasant, although you can also see the neighbors very well. Despite the fact that everything is open to the outside, we saw very few insects to our surprise. The complex is very secure, we had no worries leaving our personal belongings there. Obviously, with this design, we hear everything that happens around the house while we sleep. Plugs recommended. Overall, we highly recommend Casa Lucas, mainly for its location. We said many times during our stay that we couldn't be better placed. We already miss waking up to the sound and the view of the sea.

Absolutely incredible rental! Super relaxing and yet everything was so close to make the most of my time. It was a fun and unforgettable trip. Truly worth it and would absolutely stay again. Everything was lovely, but the kitchen and upstairs living area are dreams come true. Loved it!

Amazing location! Literally just steps to the beach!

Casa Lucas is great. The location is awesome, super close to the center of town, and right on the beach. It is perfect for families with younger kids.

The open concept layout of this house paired with the IDEAL location right on the beach made for an awesome vacation for my group of friends! Every morning we started our days with a coffee or breakfast on the lounge chairs by the pool overlooking the beach was magical. We all loved our stay here! I really recommend this location because we were close enough to the center of town to easily walk everywhere, but just far enough from the center of everything that the beach was a little less crowded where we were. Eric & his team were really accommodating and made sure we were taken care of - arranging airport transfer for us, providing drinking water, etc.

Beautiful location just a few steps from the less crowded part of the beach. There are several restaurants just across the street and just a short walk to the main part of town. The sound of the waves at night was very relaxing. Eric was awesome and responded to all our requests/problems immediately.

My family and I stayed here over NYE. Eric arranged for transportation to/from the airport, the driver was great and even waited for us while we stopped off at a super market to pick up some food for our stay. There is plenty of bottled water provided at the house which is absolutely essential. It is nestled in a small/secure gated community just steps from the pool and beach. There is a security guard present 24/7. Sayulita in general felt very safe and full of people wandering the streets at night. The pictures are accurate and it provided everything we needed! I would love to come again!

Its so beautiful and right next to the ocean! Just a 5 minute walk to the center. There is secure on-site parking which is great! It has a great layout and overall is very comfortable and comes stocked with everything you'll need. It has fans and A/C for the heat and a beautiful terrace with a cool breeze. I highly recommend!

Casa Lucas has some nice qualities. You can see and hear the ocean, it is three houses down from the pool and beach (ie very close), has comfortable and well made beds, and clean.

On the downside, it is a bit run down. Paint is bubbling and peeling, several light fixtures no longer work, the upstairs couches are dated with torn covers, the upstairs bathroom smells like sewage, a couple of the inner doorknobs are inoperative.

If you are using it as a crash pad it could work, but if you are looking for a comfortable place to spend time, it is not your house. It definitely did not feel like a good value for the cost, given the much nicer houses in the neighborhood.

Eric was an amazing host. The location was perfect - just three townhomes from the beach. You can even hear the waves crash from the villa. The kitchen was well stocked and fully equipped + we never ran out of hot water!
