Two tours and loved both of them
We did the coral islands snorkel tour and a kayak tour and had a blast on both of them. Great guides who not only made sure we had a good time but also gave us recommendations on places to eat and beaches to visit. So glad we decided on Mexitreks, would highly recommend this company to anyone wanting a more authentic tour.

A great hike up Monkey Mountain
Booked the sunset hike up Monkey Mountain with a couple friends, and so happy we did. It was an exhilarating experience, with breathtaking views. The 2 guides that leaded the way were awesome!

Could not have gotten to Monkey Mountain without them!
I was reluctant to use a tour company, but after unsuccessfully navigating my first attempt up monkey mountain I humbly reached out to mexitrek. I was so glad I did. They got back to me very promptly for a tour the following morning which not only got us to the top, but our tour guide, Jan was able to give us so much info along the way. I highly recommend this tour.

Great finish to our day!
My husband and I had a rough start one morning on our vacation when my credit card blocked me despite having registered our travel plans ahead of time with them. It caused us to be too late to do our original plans for the day. So in a last minute reworking of our day, I looked to see if the Monkey Mountain hike was still available. It was something I had considered doing previously, but could not fit it in our busy week. It was. So I quickly booked it. Come to find out later, I was a little too quick and booked the wrong tour. Yan was our guide and he was excellent. By the time he pointed to a peak and said, “There’s Monkey Mountain”. All we could do is laugh when we realized we were not on the hike we thought we were on. Honestly, Yan was such a wealth of information on the local plant life. He made the hike we did do so interesting. While we did not get the view from the top of the mountain, we did get to see some amazingly beautiful beaches and unique plant life that made up for it. He went above and beyond texting his boss while we stopped to watch the setting sun about my mistake and even though it was my mistake hitting the wrong button when I booked the hike, they very generously offered to let us do the Monkey Mountain hike the next evening for free. We could not fit it into our busy schedule, but will need to go on it the next time we are in Puerto Vallarta. I would recommend Mexitreks for any of their tours based on the one we did. They are knowledgeable, courteous, answer all of your questions, watch out for your safety, and provide great service while giving you a unique insight into the local environment.

Unexpected excellence on all levels. Kayak tour
Best tour and have been coming to Sayulita for 7 years. Enjoyed getting out of Sayulita with the drive to kayak with Eddie. Had many interesting conversations about living in Mexico and his passion for getting to know his customers was a welcome addition to the tour. Top notch service from pick to drop off back in Sayulita. Not to mention the spectacular ocean kayaking, swimming on an almost private beach and walk to top of a mountain to see the ocean . Spectacular trip , highly recommend!

Petroglyphs: Personal, informative, GREAT
We loved our hike to the Petroglyphs. Monica, our guide, cares about the Petroglyph site. Her personal investment ion the ecology, history, and culture made it all so rewarding and exciting. The pace of the walk, the delivery of the history, and the rest time were perfect for the group. Also, we had a mishap and were late for the tour, but Monica waited for us and made sure we felt comfortable. It was a fascinating, beautiful adventure.

Fantastic Family day! Best part of our Vacation!
I can't say enough good things about our experience kayaking with Eddie and Nate. Our family of 9 (including 2 kiddos aged 6 and 10) was in good hands from start to finish. Such good vibes, professional guiding and attention to detail. We chose to go kayaking on a rougher ocean day and they handled our group with such care and ease. Highlight of our trip! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Adventure awaits on Monkey Mountain!
First, props to Yan. He is an excellent guide with a lot of knowledge of his surroundings and a very good eye. He was able to pick out everything from native birds to the tiniest spider. Attempting this hike alone would be scary but with him we had no fear and enjoyed our rise to the top.

Once you arrive at the top, the views are amazing. Punt Mita to the south and Sayulita to the north and a whole lot of gorgeous in between. You’ll get to spend a lot of time up there and get to know your hike mates well. We had a great group!

As an added bonus, a car was parked in a spot blocking the only way in/out of the trail entrance. We banded together as a group to lift and move the car in order to pass. An experience none in the group will ever forget. Hey, it’s Mexico...roll with it! More

Awesome Family Hike!
We had a great hike from San Pancho to Sayulita with our 4- and 8-year old kids. Nate was very easy going, full of great information and really goof with our kids. The girls both said later that it was their favorite part of our time in Sayulita.
