Los Gatos Negros - Sayulita, Mexico's only Mexi-Punk n' Roll band, have sold their souls to the devil to be able to record their special brand of musical mayhem onto digital vinyl. For the un-initiated in the special brand of chaos that is Los Gatos Negros, their specialty is taking old songs and making them fast, fun and dangerous! Anything from the roaring 20’s to the punk/new/no-wave 80’s is cannon fodder for the Gatos. This ain’t your uncle’s cover band, but a Dr. Frankenstein creating new monsters from body parts of musical history. A truly international band, with their heart and souls firmly planted in Mexico and its culture. Los Gatos are Andrea Gata “la Llorona” on vocals/electric uke (American), Gabbi Gato “El Mas Negro” on vocals/drums (Argentine), Ernesto Gato “El Capitán” on guitar/vocals/accordion/sax (Mexican), and Paul Gato “El Spirito Salvaje” on bass/guitar/vocals (English). Infamous for their insane live shows, they have to be seen to be believed. As they like to say, Los Gatos Negros “Aren’t very good, but they’re pretty F%^k’n Awesome!”
