Evynn explains more about her photography style, and what you could book her services for here in Sayulita.

First, can you give readers a brief background of who you are and what brought you to Sayulita?

I am originally from Monterey, California. My family lived in Puerto Vallarta for two years when I was a child, and my parents taught at the Colegio Americano. My sister and I attended school there and spent many weekends traveling to Sayulita. We have been coming back to the area ever since.

When did you first discover you had an eye/passion for photography? What is your inspiration?

I developed my eye for photography as a high school student, and I find most of my inspiration in nature. My background is in fine-art, darkroom based photography. I have a B.A. degree in Art with an emphasis in Photography. I also did post-graduate work at Brooks Institute, a commercial based photography school.

When did you decide to officially "open" or start your photography business here in Sayulita?

I photographed my first wedding in Sayulita nine years ago (around 2011). I am a destination photographer based out of California, and Mexico has always been one of my top favorite places to travel to.

What would you say is your expertise when it comes to your photography? Do you have a particular aesthetic or style?

My style centers around natural light and open landscapes, which I love. My clients often tell me they hired me for my use of light, and my non-traditional photos.

What do you love to photograph the most?

I love to travel, and I enjoy photographing landscapes on film. I also enjoy photographing people, hence why my business is based around weddings and lifestyle work.

What sorts of photography services or packages do you offer, or what could clients book you for here in Sayulita?

I am a lifestyle, elopement, and wedding photographer. I have done every type of shoot over the years, but have mostly focused and honed in on lifestyle and wedding work.
