As you are all likely aware, COVID has had a very negative impact on our incoming donations and Memberships.

We would like to share with you a story that has impacted us in the past few weeks, raising over $1,000.00 USD in donations for our Saving Sayulita fund.

Laura Burroughs and Rodney Monheit were married here on January 7th, 2022. Here is an excerpt from an interview with Laura that says it all!

“I only spent about five days with my family in Sayulita two years ago, but I immediately fell in love with the place. It is so lush and colorful and relaxing. My fiancé and I got engaged in January of 2021 and decided we wanted to plan the wedding for the following January. With family and friends all over the country, we decided a destination wedding made the most sense (and seemed the most fun).

I have worked for an international non-governmental organization (NGO) for the past five years. It was important to my fiancé and me that our wedding made a positive impact on the community of Sayulita. We decided to include Pro Sayulita as an option in our registry. I'm hoping that if several of our guests make contributions, it will add up and contribute to the Saving Sayulita Fund.”

And what a nice contribution this made!

We would like to call on the many excellent wedding planners here in Sayulita, to make this suggestion to your bridal parties. Here is the link you can share with them to add to their registry. https://www.prosayulita.com/donate
