Two 2BR villas and one 1BR casita
(Rent together or seperate)
Villa del Sol is located on a hilltop setting in the quiet North end of Sayulita. While it is only a 5 min walk to the beach, a rental car is recommended for ease, convenience and flexibility. The house has ample parking in a garage and carport. There is an upper unit (Villa Sol 1) and lower unit (Villa Sol 2) private two bedroom home with a poolside studio casita (Casita Sol) below. Each villa has a king size bed in the master bedroom, and a queen size bed in the second bedroom. Each bedroom has a private bath with a half bath off the living/great room. The living room couch provides additional sleeping area for 2 people.
There is a fantastic view of either Sayulita Bay, the mountains and palm groves or the lush jungle from nearly every room in the house. As you enter the house, you feel that you are one with the beauty of nature because of the large windows and doors which fold open in every room to create an indoor/outdoor tropical lifestyle. They are handcrafted from the beautifully grained native Parota wood. The living room, dining area and kitchen form the great room and open onto an expansive Palapa covered terrace which extends in front the master bedroom and offers unobstructed, tranquil ocean views, even while lying in bed! You can also enjoy an expansive view of the Bay while taking a shower in the master bathroom!
The second bedroom is light and airy with breathtaking views of Sayulita village, Monkey Mountain, graceful palm groves and the lush jungle.
The terrace of each villa has a covered outdoor dining and comfortable seating area, as well as a hammock and two lounges for relaxing as you listen to the soft sound of the waves breaking and watch the palm trees sway in the gentle breezes. The poolside casita has a beautiful view of the pool and surrounding grass and garden area. As you lie in bed you can even enjoy a view of the ocean as you listen to the water cascade into the pool! From every level of the house you can see and hear the surf break and occasionally see whales and dolphins as they travel by. At night you can enjoy the lights of the village sparkle below and watch the lightning show on the horizon.
Villa del Sol incorporates both contemporary and traditional Mexican design elements including vaulted tile and wood beam ceilings, hand crafted Parota wooden doors and windows, stove chimney, traditional brick arches, terracotta and handpainted Talavera tile. The full bathrooms have Mexican travertine countertops and showers with stone vessel sinks. The half bath has a slate countertop with a copper sink. The villas are beautifully furnished in a warm, comfortable style with hardwood tables from Indonesia, handwoven rugs and ethnic artwork and accessories by local artists. Each of the two villas can comfortably accomodate up to 6 people, and can be rented together and/or with the casita to accomodate larger groups while providing comfort, space and privacy for all. There are ceiling fans in every room and air conditioning is available during the summer months in the bedrooms. It is not necessary during the rest of the year because of the nearly constant ocean breeze. The housekeeping staff and our gardener, Ramiro, as well as our English speaking house manager, Maru will be glad to help you with any concerns you may have. They can even arrange to prepare a special meal for you for an additional charge.
We all invite you to come relax and enjoy the tranquility of Villa del Sol. It is a perfect place for a honeymoon, or to just come and do nothing but relax! It was once said: "How wonderful it is to do nothing and then to rest afterwards". ¡BIENVENIDOS!
