Las Marietas Islands where Lover's Beach, Playa del Amor is considered one of the top hidden beaches in the world. The Marietas Islands are sanctuary to the endangered blue footed booby bird. Just west of Punta de Mita are the three islands that have created some of the best ecotourism adventures in Mexico. The only way to reach this beautiful "hidden beach" is by swimming there. Our tour guides will provide all necessary life vests and snorkel gear.
Los Arcos is located close Mismaloya and is considered one of the most popular snorkeling and diving destinations in Puerto Vallarta. While snorkeling you will see plenty of beautiful fish and sea creatures. If you're lucky, you may be able to see dolphins or hump back whales during the season.
Las Animas is a unique "island beach", and is a favorite amongst visitors. With clear, fine sand and clear blue water, you'll find that this beach is the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the afternoon. There are plenty of vendors and restaurants to enjoy.
Quimixto is located on the southern part of the Banderas Bay and is a very quaint and peaceful village. Life goes by a lot slower here than the hustle and bustle of Sayulita, with a total population of 400 people. There are plenty of beautiful handmade, one of a kind crafts, and simple, traditional Mexican fare. Be sure to bring some extra pesos for extra snacks or souvenirs.
Yelapa is a tiny seaside village only accessible by boat. Yelapa is a quiet fisherman town that is surrounded by the beautiful jungle and plenty of wildlife. Our tours include one meal and adult beverage (juice or soda for children) at a beautiful beachfront restaurant. Relax on a comfortable beach chair, enjoy the afternoon paddle boarding, or take a hike or horseback ride through the village to one of the beautiful waterfalls Yelapa has to offer. You will definitely want to bring comfortable walking shoes if you plan to do some walking on the cobble stone streets throughout the village.
We want to make sure you have the absolute best experience possible when joining us on Bahia Banderas Tours. Please be sure to bring sunscreen, extra clothes or a small towel if you plan to snorkel or go to the waterfalls. We suggest bringing a bathing suit, comfortable walking shoes, and extra pesos just in case if you wish to purchase souvenir items or extra drinks while enjoying the beachfront villages.
