Description

Casa Carlos Estate in Sayulita is a dramatic, beachfront home. Views from every room!  Just remodeled! This house has a birds-eye view of the Sayulita beach, fishing boats and surfers. Steps run down the hill to the beach, with gardens below the house. This home is centrally located and a quick, easy walk to town. About 60 steps puts you on the beach and a 2 min walk gets you to town.

Sayulita's Casa Carlos is architecturally unique and beautifully detailed. Casa Carlos Estate has 3 master suites. The 4th bedroom uses a private bath across the hall. The lower master has a separate entrance and an additional seating area and kitchen.  Three of the bedrooms have king size beds, one of which can be converted into two twins. The fourth bedroom has a queen bed. This is a 3 story home with a formal dining area and an outdoor dining space,  kitchen, living area and expansive patio on the middle floor.

The estate easily accommodates eight people with lots of indoor and outdoor living spaces. Please know that all beach front properties can get beach front noise- the ocean is often louder than you think, kid's playing, families enjoying, beach venues having parties- welcome to Mexico!

The proximity to the beach and village make a rental car unnecessary. This home is a short walk to town and steps from the beach.

Withough Hesitation this is the Relaxtion Station
What can I say, this has to be the most prime location in Sayulita. You want beach access? Magic. Poof. It's exactly 84 steps down to the beach (if you complain about that you should really consult your MD b/c that's equivalent to a 4 story building) and then you hit sand. After the beach there's a outdoor shower on the side of the house! Are you a surfer? Well this is your surfer's paradise; I literally grabbed my board and walked down stairs for dawn patrol. I was able to check the surf report everywhere in the house! Every balcony, window, even shower and bathroom (yes you can see the ocean from there in the top master). If you like nightlife, this estate is so closely located you will never need a golf cart or transportation. There are two routes to take to town, the stairway towards the beach down two blocks and your on one side of town. Or you can take the cobblestone route in front of the house which will be a short walk to the other side of town. At any place in town you can find a quick route home!! The house has much needed AC in every room, they're all strategically placed over each bed so at night you're sleeping in comfort of Queen Elsa's Frozen castle in the blistering heat. You can also sleep with the doors open safely protected from the bugs by a mesh screen! You're also so close to the boats for all your fishing ventures! Literally woke up 10 minutes before meeting and walked down the stairs, doesn't get any better than that. Catch some fresh fish? There's TWO kitchens and a bbq to prepare your meals! It does get loud though, from the crashing waves because you're so close to the ocean! If you don't like the sound of nature they provide you with ear plugs for those non nature folk. On the weekends there's some bass from parties, but its a small town, enjoy it! I could keep going, but how about you just book this place and see for yourself. It's literally the perfect location.

Prime location + Perfect view!!
I absolutely LOVED staying at Casa Carlos! This place is perfectly positioned between the beautiful beach and the eclectic town. The house is charming, comfortable, and super spacious. Plus.. you have an ocean view & balcony in every bedroom!! Amenities such as the high-powered fans and bedroom AC units were a lifesaver, providing a comfortable cool-off zone day and night. I also felt 100% safe with the mechanical deadbolt locks on all of the outside doors. Much appreciated! : ) Being so close to town, you're bound to hear faint music in the distance on weekend nights, but fear not! Earplugs are graciously provided. Even though I'm a very light sleeper, I slept wonderfully every night. For those of you who are fitness-forward, you will enjoy the multiple flights of stairs leading up to the back entrance from the beach. (I did!!) It's a mini workout that will surely burn off the extra Cerveza or chocolate banana you had that day ;D If you're not into stairs, however, the front entrance is just a block away from the town shops and cafes! Overall, I’d stay here again in a heartbeat. Sayulita is a vibrant town with so much to explore, and Casa Carlos was the perfect haven for my trip!! Can't wait to come back : )

10 out of 5 stars! Book it now!
In need of R&R and chose to go to Sayulita. When booking a place, I found Casa Carlos and Casa Carlitos to be the perfect combo of value, location, and service.

The property is an estate so there are a few homes on the property. My friends and I stayed in both Casa Carlos and Carlitos and it was perfect for our group where we all had ample space for each other without feeling like we were crammed. Make sure to wear comfortable footwear - I recommend sandals with straps that can go around your ankle because regular slippers will not give you the support and comfort you need for the steps and cobble stones.

The homes are finely furnished with everything you would need to enjoy your state. Maid service was provided everyday which made coming back home after a day exploring so much better. The views are epic and literally straight from the pages of your favorite author. Wifi is good and stable. No issues for 10 devices we had connected to the network. If you want extra, bring a star link but I don't believe that to be necessary.

Location is impeccable. 10 steps from the gate to the beach and a short 3 min walk into town. You're also a short 5 - 7 min walk from much quieter beaches like Playa de los Muertes.

Just do it. 10 out of 5 stars!

Spacious and comfortable with awesome views
We stayed at Casa Carlos at the end of March and really liked this spacious rental. It was very open and big and had great breezes and from the decks you can see across the whole beach. There is giant deck and grill and plenty of seating and the master has its own private deck. Everything was very clean and good linens. We didn't use the kitchen much but it has everything one needs for an extended stay. The maids did a fantastic job and the manager was very helpful. The other good thing about this house is that this is very close to downtown; it only takes 5 minutes down a private path. And it is a short trip down the stairs right to the beach. We'll be back. Very good.

Honest review
We just completed a 30 day stay at Casa Carlitos, Casa Carlitos is the fourth bedroom to the now Casa Carlos Estate which has been renamed by the new owners. Let me begin by saying the views are good but it is all down hill literally from there. The property is located in the middle of a hillside. Access to the property is made by one of two ways. One you can climb down 52 steep stairs from the top of the hill or two you climb up 88 steeper stairs from the beach road. Once you’ve arrived at the door to the deck entrance of the property you are greeted by the unrelenting pounding and thumping of music from the beach bars that are located on the beach below the property. The music begins daily at 6 pm with the volume steadily increasing to an intolerable level that continues until 2am on weekdays and often until 3am plus on weekends. During our stay we had 19 we could not hear ourselves talk on the deck. During our stay w opted to retreat to an hotel several times to get some sleep and peace of mind. The pounding is so loud it shook the house and hillside. The house comes with a bowl full of ear plugs which by the don’t even begin to dampen the noise. Th response from the staff and owner is surprise, they state it’s a new thing they even blame it on it being a holiday. I was even told by the original owner who still has property on top of the hill that “ it’s Mexico suck it up”. I am only writing this to provides prospective renters with honest accurate information they would not otherwise receive.

Never again Casa carlos
Stayed a week at casa Carlos in March. The stairs are very steep and quite a few. The sound from the beach bar music techno boom boom music lands right on your decks and sleeping area. The earplugs don’t work. The beach below is not swimable and the sand is dirty with bacteria. I got very very sick. I made it home, and was admitted immediatly to the hospital on IV antibiotics for 4 days. Please be aware this can happen . Do not trust the kitchen water filter. We advise against this property .

Awesome place!
Spent a couple of nights at Casa Carlos on the front end of our vacation. Ana prepared a fantastic meal at the house our first night in town. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. The house was very clean and comfortable. There were four people (two couples) in our group and we had great nights sleep and fun happy hours on the great deck! The views are unbelievable and location perfect. We will definitely return to stay in the future.

More Then A Pretty View
I decided to check out Sayulita during a month-long stay in Puerto Vallarta (my favorite place). The bus from PV stops regularly right by the airport, costs 50 pesos, and takes a little over an hour. The property manager, Lina, was very helpful from the start, offering suggestions on how to travel. She even offered me a ride from the bus station to Casa Carlos. I opted to walk, and enjoyed the fifteen minute jaunt from one end of town to the other. The streets of Sayulita are teeming with people on the move. If you’re looking for something more low-key, try San Pancho, it’s right up the road. Finding the property was a piece of cake. Lena provided me a pin through WhatsApp (a traveler’s must-have in Mexico). I soon found myself at a gate and was greeted by a member of the staff on a four-wheeler. Super nice guy.

The property features a great deck, endowed with an abundance of beautiful flowers and vines crawling along the walls .The view is great during the day, and spectacular at night. The stars come out in force. The sound of those giant Sayulita waves crashing against the beach was the icing on the cake. Speaking of the beach, it is steps away from the property.

The interior is colorfully decorated in a Mexican Surrealist motif. The kitchen is spacious, fully equipped. The living room area is fine as well. The bedroom and bathroom were clearly designed by the same person. Very artistic. Quite unique. The bathroom in particular is… sexy. No other word will do. The open shower, embellished with beautiful stones inlaid along the wall, crowns the room.

After a dinner with friends, I headed back to the property. I got antsy and decided to walk around Sayulita’s happening night-life scene forva. Casa Carlos is close enough from downtown to be convenient, but far enough away that the space creates an appropriate buffer. As a conclusion, I will address the noise level at night. There was a heavy club-thump pulsing from the beach, but it is very in tune with Sayulita’s downtown aesthetic. It didn’t bother me. I like that kind of energy, at least from afar.

I highly recommend this spot for couples of a certain age. It’s tasteful and unique, and a feast for all one’s senses. Bring a date😏
