Description

Casa Cocoon in Sayulita offers you an authentic, comfortable, quiet and colorful Vacation Rental that is a 5 - 7 minute walk to the beach and town. It is just far enough out of the hustle and bustle of town to be away from the noise, but a quick walk to the beach & town. A nice 5-7 minute stroll down Ninos Heroes street and you are in town and at the beach! There is a lot of local flair as you make your quick walk to the beach and town. Casa Cocoon has two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The swimming pool is shared by the Casa and the Casita. There is a sense of privacy between these 2 rentals that can rented separtedly or all togteher at once, if more beds are needed.

Casa Cocoon is private and has a very comfortable vibe that naturally makes you relax and enjoy as the moments go by. This wonderful 2 bedrooms house was built 9 years ago, and is a very well built, solid home. It is a cylindrical shape house, with beautiful stone, pebble, and brick work. Their are unique elements throughout the home. The main living space is essentially a large roundish shape of plaster and brick walls. It is spacious, beautifully appointed and furnished and comfy. The Master bedroom features one queen size bed and the guest bedroom has one full size bed. Each room has a private bathroom with a beautiful open window shower with views of the jungle.(To keep the Tejones in the jungle, bring all food related items indoors.) If you require more space, than the 2 bedrooms, the one bedroom casita is also available on the same property. View here.

The casa is air conditioned for your use, when necessary. The Casa bedrooms are air conditioned, as well as the Casita. Electricity is expensive in Mexico, so using the air conditioner as needed and turning it of when you leave is greatly required. Do not create crimes of opportunity! Keep valuables and electronics out of site and inside the bedrooms, preferably.

The property hosts a beautiful saline swimming pool for your use. There is a palapa up by the pool, if you wish to lounge in the shade. The feeling is private with a beautiful, soothing water feature that falls into the pool. Thank you for not diving (no deep end!) and no glass allowed anywhere near the pool or on the way to the pool. You swim in the pool at your own risk. No heavy alcohol use by the pool. And the old rule, no running around due to the fact you can slip when feet are wet. As in most areas in Mexico, water in Sayulita is a precious commodity, so using water with awareness is greatly appreciated. Water is a precious commodity, especially where the infrastructure is not as sophisticated.

The property is managed by Casago Sayulita, a professional management team. They will arrange to greet you at the home to give you keys and imporetant details about the home. Please be sure to contact your assigned property manager at Casago a day or two before you arrive to give them an idea of your arrival time. It is best to download the application Whatsapp for communication.

From November to May,  there is a really great Farmer’s market on Fridays in Sayulita where you can find organic veggies, and many handmade and interesting products as well as delicious food. It is a great place to enjoy lunch while listening to live music. 10:00am -2:00pm

There are a few smaller, local grocery stores in Sayulita that carry quite small selection of products you might find back home. For a larger selection of produce, grocery items, drinks, beer, wine, etc, stop on your way to Sayulita from Puerto Vallarta at “MEGA”, a full grocery and department store, kind of like a Super Target, Mexico style. There you can buy supplies and food, if you plan to cook at home. It is on the north end of PV, right on the main highway to Sayulita. Google it, and it will come up. MEGA. :-)

The main Sayulita beach tends to be a busier beach scene. If you prefer a quieter beach, just walk north from the main beach in town, for 5-10 minutes to the “North Side” beach. Another option is Playa de los Muertos, is more chill as well, which is to the south.  From Casa Cocoon, continue to walk away from town on the dirt road that the Casa is on. at the slight Y, take the left. walk for 5 minutes more, and you have arrived!

There are many places in town to rent surfboards, boogie boards, lessons, etc. Anything else you might need, just search this website, as SayulitaLife is a rich resource for anything you might wish to do, or anything you are looking for in the area. There is gorgeous Humpback whale watching certain times of the year, where the whales come back to mate and give birth in the same area every year. (Nov - March).

WiFi network and password given to you after you have booked. Please note, the internet connection can go in and out for no reason. Be patient and realize, its Mexico!

Stay here!
This is such an amazing place to stay! I went on a girls trip and had a blast. Both rooms are nice, though one is a double bed so 4 people would have been a squeeze. There’s also a casita on the bottom you can rent if you want the whole place to yourself. The pool was awesome - we were in it 3x a day with the heat and humidity! There were stores and shops right down the hill, it was close to town, it has AC in the rooms and a decent amount of kitchen items for cooking. It was odd to have the main living room only accessible by going outside and down the stairs, but we got used to it and it was no big deal. Stay here for sure!

Beyond Impressed
Casa Cocoon was the absolute perfect rental for our group. It has a great living space and two spacious master suites that are separate from the main living space, which is great. We used the kitchen a few times and found that it had everything we needed to cook breakfast. The pool area is so nice, you'll want to stay and lounge all day! Kimberly was a very gracious host and was quick to help out and provide tips as we needed it. The location is pretty good and is definitely walkable into town, though, if you are with someone who has trouble walking or tires easily, you may want to rent a golf cart. The only downside about this spot is that you may not actually want to ever leave to explore the town!

Thank you Lovedy and Tony we had a blast
Upon seeing Casa cocoon for the first time the architecture seems like something from a fairytale. It’s so unique and different from anything else I’ve seen in Sayulita. Then you enter and it’s absolutely gorgeous. The host has great taste and has designed the home to perfection. There is a gorgeous patio off the living room which is a great place to sit and listen to the wonderful sounds of the Mexican wildlife. Which by the way can get super loud in the morning but we loved it, the roosters, birds, dogs are going at it, amazing. The kitchen is fully equipped and I was especially impressed with the toiletries and bathroom extras that were already there which was unexpected. Tony the house manager was always available for anything we needed and was a huge help. Our bedrooms were extremely comfortable, cool and with the huge metal doors felt very safe and had that fairytale castle feel to them. My husband and I sat most evenings while our teens slept in their rooms and listened to the birds settling down for the night on our own patio, sipping delicious Mezcal. The pool is very welcoming in the midday heat and it’s a great way to relax and it’s very quiet. There’s also a short walk down to Playa Muertos which is a beach down the road. There are options to rent golf carts as the walk into town is about 10 mins but we’re New Yorkers so we’re used to walking and besides we enjoyed walking past the braying donkeys each day. There is a wonderful selection of restaurants and lots of unique shops. I would absolutely come back to Casa Cocoon it’s a beautiful home, clean, modern, convenient, great location and best of all for me on a daily basis I got to see my three Iguanas which I loved.

Paradise!
This is a long-overdue review. My husband and another couple stayed at Casa Cocoon just before the pandemic hit. We loved it there. It's such a peaceful oasis and hard to believe it's so close and convenient to the raucous town. With the full kitchen, we made wonderful dinners including fresh fish from the market one evening. Breakfasts by the pool were awesome, waking up to the birds and the sounds of the jungle all around. The shortcut to the Playa Los Muertos beach was super cool. Everything about the Casa was comfy and stylish, with enough space for privacy if you wanted. Lovedy and her management team were very responsive if we had questions or needed anything. We highly recommend this gem!

Highly recommended home to stay!
Casa Cocoon was incredible! It's conveniently located with a 7-10 minute walk to town and the beach.... the house is spacious and beautifully decorated. The check-in was very simple. I loved that each room had its own balcony and shower that is partly outdoor. The house architecture is so unique, it's fun to notice all the creative touches the designer added. I also enjoyed the rooftop patio for stargazing and doing yoga in the mornings to nothing but the sound of roosters, donkeys and the birds in the nearby jungle.

Very impressed!
I absolutely loved Casa Cocoon! The house is so beautiful, with great design touches and awesome views. The location is really convenient to town and the beaches, and renting a golf cart makes it so easy to get around. Lovedy was a great host and had really good tips and recommendations. Tony was also really helpful and super communicative. I highly recommend staying here! :)

Unique & memorable
The property manager, Tony, made check in and the overall stay super easy and confortable. It is very spacious with multiple terraces. The coffee machine and extra blankets made my day! Everything was clean and super secure and private. I'll always remember staying in such a unique home! We rented a golf cart to save time walking back & fourth from the plaza but it wasn't necessary. Our host was world class and every bit as accommodating as any others I have encountered on AIRBNB. Thank you for a one of a kind experience in an eclectic home!

Casa Cocoon was the PERFECT escape from the lively bustle of Sayulita. With its outdoor showers, jungle views & comfortable vibe, I didn't want to leave! Sitting by the pool, listening to the waterfall and eating dinner on the outdoor patio was a dream. I'll definitely be back.
