What a great getaway! Sayulita was crowded this time of year, so it was great to sneak away to our part of the cape for privacy and the sound of the waves. Antonio, the manager, was so helpful and hospitable. He was always available to give recommendations or help us book activities. Can’t wait to go back!

picture perfect
Perfect location with amazing bay and coast views that go as far as San Pancho. Beautiful decor, everything you need including good lamps for nighttime reading, with two outdoor patios right in front of the waves perfect for sitting out in the morning sun to have coffee, watch surfers and to escape to for the afternoon shade. Antonio and staff were there when needed. The setting is very tranquil and you're close by Playa los Muertos for safe swimming. Downtown restaurants and shops and the main beach are a short walk by the bay or you can get drinks and meals steps away at a hotel. Some weekend days/nights meant loud bass-drum music from Sayulita beach bars. Sound sensitive folks might want earplugs as the crashing surf wasn't loud enough to drown out the bass. We arrived the night of Epiphany (Jan. 6), which is a big holiday in Mexico, and partying went on till 3 and 4 AM. Great for 20-30 year olds but not so for families with toddlers or older people like us. With so many tourists in town, we're glad we didn't rent a car as driving and parking in Sayulita is difficult. David picked us up at the airport and got us through Sayulita's Saturday night traffic jam. He made the return trip to the airport hassle free. Since our last visit, Sayulita village has grown a lot with more shops, restaurants, vacation homes, and beach activity. Fortunately, its small town charm and beauty remain intact.

Right on the small cliff, overlooking the Sayulita Bay. Two lovely balconies to sit and enjoy drinks, or morning coffee. Bed was comfortable, the bathroom was nice and clean, shower big. Antonio was there to help with the bags and check in/out. Downtown was a short walk. Lovely view at night of the lights of Sayulita waterfront. Fun to watch the surfers, and listen to the sound of waves breaking under your veranda in the morning.

Beautiful and romantic, with Jacuzzi and wonderful sounds of the ocean
We stayed at El Pescador in Sayulita for a week at the end of June, which is a somewhat slower season and was perfect for us to relax and have a quiet stay. El Pescador is an adorable secluded bungalow with a private entrance after a cobblestone driveway and path to the house. It featured a romantic jetted tub on a private terrace with another private balcony for dining right over a rocky private section of the beach. The interior was airy with the french doors opening to the balcony, a ceiling fan, and air conditioner. Nice king size bed, a few cool lounge chairs, dining nook with table and chairs, little kitchen where we made breakfast most days.

The manager was very helpful with everything during our stay. He offered recommendations about things to see and places to eat, and helped get us reservations for a day trip to the Marietas Islands on the Chica Locca trimaran. He really went above and beyond even after we left Sayulita. We had purchased a large painting at a local boutique and they shipped it to us, but we had difficulty getting the tracking info over the phone and they weren't emailing us the info. We emailed him and he went to the boutique and got the information about when the painting was shipped and the tracking number so that we were finally able to locate and pick up our painting. I am so grateful that he was willing to help even after our stay.

great stay!
We absolutely loved our stay at El Pescador. It has the best view in all of Sayulita. The staff was friendly and helpful. Antonio (the manager) went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable. It's a quick and nice walk to town. The provided airport pick up/drop off was so easy. I have nothing negative to say about our week here. Can not wait to stay here again!

I have been renting vacation rental homes in Mexico and Florida since 1999. Today I rent about 45 properties, mostly in Puerto Vallarta, Sayulita and Fort Lauderdale/Wilton Manors. I own about 18 of the homes, some by myself and some with a business partner. Although I am an agent, I have a close connection to all of those who's homes I rent. In many cases, I designed the interiors for the property, and then took over rentals and management. All of our properties are self contained living spaces with no interior spaces shared with others. Some of the garden and pool areas are shared. In both Mexico and the US we have full time staff to make sure your stay goes smoothly. So if you are looking for a great vacation in Puerto Vallarta or Fort Lauderdale/Wilton Manors, give us a try.
