Description

El Fin Del Cielo In Sayulita is a unique stretch tent accommodation situated high up on a hilltop with amazing views over the ocean and Sayulita village. Live in the palm of mother nature with all modern amenities. The amazing views can be seen from almost everywhere inside and out. Watch the sun go down relaxing in one of our three customized hammocks with an ice-cold margarita or simply relax on our 4m x 2m sofa. If it's the right season watch the whales breach far out at sea.

The space

El fin del Cielo was originally created as temporary accommodation, so that time was not important to complete the future construction planned, the journey could therefore be enjoyed. It has met my expectations and a lot more, living in this amazing space has brought so much pleasure and fun. Sited on private land set back on top of the north side hill with two large entrance gates, we have no doors or walls just views. The road to the property is very steep in places and I would advise the rental of a 4x4 or a good quality golf buggy if preferred. It's a 5 minute or less drive into town and back, or a 10-minute walk there and a 20 minute walk back. Internet service is very good, supplied by Sayulita Wifi and not the regular local service.

You enter the property into a driveway/yard area. Cars can be turned around in this area although it is a little tight. However, I would advise this at all times as it makes driving down the hill a lot safer, especially when wet. You then enter into a partially covered shaded garden area complete with seating and then up a step into the main accommodation past two extra-large painted pots. When entering your breath will be taken away! The main tent area is 150 square meters which houses the entrance area, two bedrooms at opposite sides, lobby, lounge, and a 4 meter long dining table and seating. Amazing views can be enjoyed from everywhere. To the rear, the tent canopy joins a traditional palapa roof which covers the kitchen, and then via a small but beautiful garden which leads to a large bathroom, also covered by a palapa roof. There is a large open space, ideal for yoga or exercise in the mornings and three customized hammocks to the front of the tent. A beautiful traditional rock wall surrounds the main area and features throughout the kitchen area, bathroom and side terrace.
Ambient and utility lighting services the whole accommodation, we also have many battery powered candles as normal candles are not permitted anywhere on the property. The space is regularly fumigated to keep out any unwanted visitors. The canopy is 100% waterproof, anti UV made of high-grade heat-reflecting material, and mold resistant. I have experienced many tropical storms living in this space with no problems.

Lounge Area
We have a 4m x 2m C shaped sofa, coffee table, floor cushions, and three LPG powered fire pits. These are not for cooking on but are great for light, ambience and warmth when required.

Dining Area
There is a beautiful 14 seater parota wood dining table with benches on three sides and a step with cushions on the other.

Hammock Area
In front of the dining area are three customized hammocks made from the same netting used on catamaran yachts. Each will easily hold 4 people. Chill and relax and feel as though your floating in amongst the jungle canopy. No smoking is permitted in these.

Kitchen Area
The kitchen consists of a large kitchen island with an integrated hob and oven and eight stools, a large fridge freezer, 5 meter worktop with an integrated double sink. There is also a washing machine found in its own hut in the permitter garden.

Bathroom
The bathroom has acacia palms as exterior walls, slate stepping stones laid on a pebble beach and comprises of a large sink and mirror area, two hot water showers, a large pot with ice cold water that can also be used to wash from and a cubicle and WC.

Bedrooms
Both have king-size beds complete with mosquito needs if required depending on the time of year. Large wardrobes with make up areas, mirrors and a stool. No smoking is permitted in these.

Fitness
Ideal spaces for morning or evening yoga. We have an exercise frame too, for chin and pull ups, ab work and dips.

Gracias!
Amazing view as they mentioned in their ad. The checking-in and the checking-out process was quick. The place is securely located that almost no need to lock the doors up at night.

Beautiful place and host! The host was super attentive, he let us check in early, and waited for us with a shot of mezcal. Staying here was a perfect experience with the most stunning views! The kitchen has all you could want and the beds were super soft. Thanks to Dicky’s tips we had a private tour of mezcal tasting with David (Taste of Sayulita), at the lovely terrace table as we watched the breathtaking sunset. There is a nice wind so we were always comfortable and though the hill up is steep, it is walkable.

10/10
The place is amazing! The views from the living room are unbelievable, if you aren’t watching the sunsets from the beach, you must climb into the hammocks and enjoy the view from home. We enjoyed being able to retreat to this peaceful (and tastefully decorated) oasis atop the hill after chilling out in the hustle and bustle of town. The hill up to the casa is very steep, so I’d recommend looking for a good golf cart to make it easier to move back and forth to town (we made it one day of walking up and down that hill before we gave in and rented one, so glad we did!) Keep in mind it is an open space with no walls, and no Air Conditioning, but it was breezy and cozy during the day and night in April when we were there. Dickey protects the casa so you don’t need to worry about bugs getting in, we did get a few mosquito bites at dusk when we sat out in the hammocks (easily mitigated with bug spray!) With all said, Dickey is a fantastic host and his casa is lovely, highly recommend booking here!

I will be back
This place is stunning. The views are breathtaking; even better than in the images shown. Everything inside is also charming and well-equipped. The attention to detail is amazing. It's the best place to chill and disconnect. Would recommend strongly to everyone, it is truly a one-of-a-kind experience.
Richard was also attentive friendly, and helpful, providing us with contacts and tips to get around Sayulita. Everything was made simple for our stay.
Thanks a lot!

Best vacation ever
This was truly the most magical stay of my life! It's luxury x 100- and I think the most fun place to stay in ALL of Sayulita (and I saw a lot of villas)! Everything about this place is curated, tastefully decorated, and even more charming than you can imagine. It's awesome to host dinners, have your morning coffee in the cozy hammiock, and work/live from the gorgeous views. I would recommend renting a golf cart rental, as it's just a 5-minute drive downtown if you do so. I only have great things to say about this place and you would be lucky to stay here!

Unforgettable experience
I have no idea where to begin. The space is one of the most charming places I’ve ever seen. Exceeded my expectations and the photos don't do it justice. Richard was so nice and welcoming. There’s a very romantic Zen feeling to the space but with plenty of space. Richard thought of every detail when he designed it. The lights, fire pits, and lounge area made it hard to leave. The view is breathtaking and a very quick ride to everywhere you will need or want to go. You will need a car or golf cart with a powerful engine as it’s located on a hill but worth every penny having that view. A truly memorable experience and I cannot wait to go back!

Perfect hidden Oasis
The most magical place I’ve ever stayed and I’ve traveled around the globe. Watching the sunset every night and stargazing on the nets, we almost didn't leave the place. Every time we went to town we wanted to come back to our little hidden gem. Richard was super friendly, communicative and attentive. He recommended the best New Year’s Eve party in town. I selfishly don’t want this place to be discovered because it will blow up and would love to keep it our secret. Best experience ever. Thank you!

Absolutely stunning
I’ve stayed in over 100 airbnbs around the globe and this is now in my top 5. You will absolutely be blown away. The view is insane. The details are inspiring. The vibe is serene. The breeze is calming. Truly a gem; I can’t recommend this place any more highly. Dicky is also a warm, kind, welcoming guy. Made me feel right at home.

Just awesome
The moment we walked in the door our jaws dropped to the floor with how beautiful both the space and the view were. The pictures don't do this place justice!

Dicky was a very welcoming, friendly and helpful host.

The tent is even more comfortable than I thought it'd be—even though we were there mid June, sleeping was comfortable and the sea breeze was lovely. Some of my favorite parts of the tent include the huge living room couch, catamaran nets to catch the view in, and well-stocked kitchen that's great for cooking. The whole place is the perfect balance between nature and modern comforts with some beautiful hand crafted furniture and art mixed in.

If you have the chance to stay here—trust me, don't hesitate and just go for it. This tent is truly a work of art and unlike I've ever seen in my life. Prepare for literally the best sunsets you've ever seen over the gorgeous tropical hills and coastline of Sayulita!

I love to travel. Originally from the UK, i previously lived in Asia for over 15 years and Spain more recently, i have now chosen Sayulita as my new home. Sayulita and the surrounding areas are rich in so many things, community, food and drinks, arts and crafts and most importantly mother nature. A choice of so many beautiful beaches, surf breaks, jungle walks and the mountains not to far away. My home has a combination of influences, Asian, Spanish and Mexican.
