Amazing Food, Great Service BUT Lacked in being upfront on Costs!
To be completely honest, this place should be given an "EXCELLENT," As the food is fabulous. I crave the red beet pasta with quail ragu, once I return to the US, but on this past trip, I brought 7 friends of mine with me, whom I had been raving all day long about the food and service. When we sat down, I asked for a wine list and was told there was NO wine list, but rather the waiter rattled off several red wines and then was hesitant to provide any white offerings. We settled on a Barbera, which was lovely. BUT, not once were we given the price of the bottle. Not once, not twice, not 3 times...and after the 4th bottle and then nightcaps of 43 on the rocks, we received the bill and was charged $100 US per bottle of wine. I have NEVER ordered a bottle of Barbera from Italy or not and charged so much. This was poor customer service. And when I questioned the waiter and then the "manager" both agreed that they never gave us a price and pretty much said "sorry." We had great food and service up to that moment, but NEVER should have been given 4 bottles without confirming the price with us!

Excellent Food!! Wine was beyond over priced for what it actually cost!!!
First off, this should have been an Excellent review, the Italian food was probably the best I have every had in Sayulita as far a fine dining experience, we had the Pasta Bolognese and the Gnocchi with cream sauce. Both were exceptional. However, at the suggestion from the waiter, we purchased a wine (1 of 4) that he hand selected for us to choose. We ended up selecting a $1,500 peso "Fine Italian Wine" (the exchange was $93 US, so we expected it to be incredible... it was not) When we returned to our room that night I researched the wine to determine the cost, it retails for $17 US
This is more than 5 times the actual cost, in US the price is usually doubled in restaurants.
unfortunately, we will not be returning to Leda, this experience left me feeling like we were taken advantage of, and that's a shame because the food was really exceptional

An absolute foodie spot
Leda in Sayulita has great fresh fish, hand made pastas, something for kids and adults. This place has it all. Simply the best food in Sayulita. After going to Sayulita for the past 12 years every spring break, I can honestly say this was one of the best meals I have had in any country in a year.

Best meal of our trip
Leda has one of the nicest atmospheres you'll find in Sayulita. Cool lighting in an area that looked like one of the more recently built projects in town. There was a duet playing lovely American and Mexican music during dinner.

I was dying for a steak after eating mostly Mexican food for two weeks. The sliced and marinated Ribeye was recommended and was delicious. My girlfriend had the red beet pasta dish. Fantastic! Other reviews mentioned small portions, I didn't find that to be the case. The service was above-average for the area. We ate at the top seven or eight restaurants in town and this one was our favorite.

If you haven't eaten here you should.
The bolognese and the ravioli are amazing. The sausage on the pizza is home made and great. The food would be typical of a great restaurant in Seattle or Portland. Service was fast but a little timid to start. Once everything got going it all flowed. The bartender Josh came out an asked what we really liked to drink. If he didn't make it to our standards it was free. We happily paid for it all...cosmos etc. Ask for his tropical drink with passion fruit. The music was by an Argentine couple who I cannot believe is not world famous. This plus a great dress shop for our wives as we had an after dinner drink and Cuban Cigars (Yes they are real and I know the difference!) Blake

Best meal ever!
We are still raving about the food and the service at Leda. It was amazing! We were blown away with everything from the wine selection to the huge, impressive mixed drinks to the bread, pasta, duck, fish, desserts, etc, etc. I could go on and on. It was like we were in the finest dining spot in Italy right in the middle of town. We loved the decor, our fabulous waiter, the fresh herbs growing on the walls. We would go back to Sayulita just to have dinner here again. When we got the check we couldn't believe how well priced it was. We would have paid triple the total in the States.

Out of this world!!
This place has the best food, service and atmosphere and is a must if your visiting Sayulita. We were there for a week and I would have eaten here everyday if I could have. The food portions were just right and you always had room for their amazing desserts. The wine and drinks were great too!

Magnifique!
This place has everything! Amazing food, excellent service, a gorgeous waiter, Danielo, who should be a model, or at least David Beckham's Italian cousin, beautiful ambiance, romantic lighting, al fresco dining, vast wine menu, and an incredibly talented guitarist/singer. We LOVE this new addition to Sayulita and will go back often! Muy Bueno!
