Alejo, who will be your guide, is an avid surfer, traveler and has always had a special connection and passion for the environment and wildlife. Alejo was born in Argentina and has been traveling for the past five years, wanting to create new memories while learning all he can. Through all of the experience, Alejo has learned about connecting with different cultures, nature, and people of each region. Through various experiences and practices, Alejo has acquired the knowledge and tools to be your guide and coordinator. He just wants to share the pure bliss that the culture and beauty of Sayulita has to offer.
The journey with EcoHike, will start from the heart of town, explore the backsides of the jungle as we begin the trail to the most stunning and untouched landscapes of Sayulita. When walking along the bluffs and oceanside in the abundant green jungle, you will be able to see the vast natural flora and wild fauna of the region (birds, turtles, fish, crabs, and even whales). You will explore caves, rivers, and solitary beaches, see the magnitude of the sea as well as enjoy a swim in its clear blue waters. That is not all! You will also be learning about the culture of Riviera Nayarit and hear wonderful stories and current situations occurring in this area.
It is important to know that the difficulty level of this hike is mild/moderate but Alejo wants you to know that all ability levels are welcome to experience EcoHike. This is an adventure that the whole family will be able to enjoy as children ages 2 and older can take part in the experience. Pets are more than welcome too! You will be going up and down semi-steep hills and passing through rocks, roots, sand, and mud. To ensure safety of customers, it is recommended that yo wear good footwear, sunscreen, and a hat. Since you will have the opportunity to jump in the fresh sea at local beaches, feel free to bring your towel as well. During this excursion you will also have a rest break where you will have fruit and snacks.
