Enzo Ackermann a young local Sayulita resident has created the brilliant Agua Libre Foundation, a water refill station that allows for free clean water bottle refills . There are currently three refill stations in Sayulita, one at the Kinder, the Secondary school and Costa Verde Primary school.
Tracey Willis, owner of Chocobanana cafe Sayulita and founder of "Ser Su Voz" an environmental advocacy group based in Sayulita has kindly donated money to buy bottles for the public school children. Her generous donation was able to cover 75% of the children at the Primary school and they are currently taking donations to help fund the last 25%, and towards the Kinder and Secondary school. Can you tell me a bit about yourself and the project?

I am Enzo p Ackermann and I am 15 years old. I started the project 3 years ago after i went with some of The costa verde school students to an oceanarium conference in Vancouver. I spend most of my free time in the ocean and did not like finding so much plastic.

How long have you lived in Sayulita? What is your favorite part? I lived here all my life and I love that we are able to swim and surf every day.

What are your future plans for the project? Any new goals?  I am planing to install as many filters as needed to provide the Sayulita community and tourists with water and to be able to refill their bottles on the go and expand the project to all coastal towns in Mexico.

Is there anything special that you want to share? I would love to thank all the supporters that helped far to make this project happen. When I went to the public school last week and we gave out the bottles I had so much joy to see the excitement of all the students being able to go to the water filter and fill their bottles .
