  1. Can you tell me a bit about yourself?

I am the mother of 2 beautiful daughters, and one of my favorite hobbies is cooking for my loved ones.

  1. How did you land in Sayulita?

19 years ago, my mother moved here from Guadalajara with my 2 brothers and me to look for a better future.

  1. How long have you lived in Sayulita?

19 years.

  1. What is your favorite part?

The north side of Sayulita is my favorite to watch the sunsets, and I love going to “Playa Los Muertos” to swim.

  1. Can you tell me what inspired you to start your business?

Ever since I was a child, I had a passion for cooking. At the age of 10, I began working in the tourism industry, starting off as a dishwasher and waitress at a Mexican inn. My mother had always put us to work from a young age to teach us the value of hard work. As time passed, I gained experience in various roles such as dishwashing, waiting tables, operating the cash register, working in the kitchen, managing, cooking, bartending, and more. Through these experiences, I learned the importance of each position and gained an appreciation for the value that each role brings to my team.

  1. Tell me a little about your experience with this industry?

Working in a state of flow is truly remarkable, as it motivates me to cook with the utmost quality. I am constantly amazed by my own work, as I pour my heart into every dish and strive to improve with each passing day. The words of appreciation and applause from my clients serve as a great source of inspiration, encouraging me to keep honing my skills and refining my craft.

  1. How long has your business been in operation?

For about 10 years now, my clientele has been those who knew me personally and had heard about the quality of my breakfast and dinner preparations. 

  1. What does your business offer that sets it apart from the rest? 

After years of preparation, I finally achieved my dream of becoming an independent business owner, which allowed me to spend more quality time with my daughters. I had saved up for quite some time and invested in top-of-the-line Royal Prestige equipment to ensure that I offered the highest quality service possible. I take pride in the fact that I cook with love and use authentic Mexican seasonings in each dish, putting my very best into every service. My mother's advice to "prepare like it's for you" continues to inspire me every time I take on a new project.

  1. What are your future plans for your business?

Looking towards the future, my primary goal is to expand my business and create more job opportunities for locals. I also hope to provide support to my acquaintances who wish to start their own businesses.

  1. Any new goals? 

 Additionally, I have set a new goal for myself: to finish building my home. I believe that this space will serve as an essential source of inspiration and rejuvenation before each service, and I am determined to grow my business enough to achieve this objective while providing more job opportunities for the community.

  1. Can you share a happy memory with a client?

I have a group of regular clients who attend my cooking classes in Bucerias. I will always remember the time when they were so impressed with our class that they gave us a round of applause. To show their appreciation, they even set two additional places at the table for me and my assistant who were on duty.

  1. Is there something special you want to share?

I am confident that each of our clients is unique, and we have successfully left them all satisfied. I have received applause from every single one of them, and they even stop to thank me for the opportunity to cook for them. Their appreciation motivates me to improve every day, and we strive to give our best to each and every one of our customers.
