This measure was put into place when the citizens of Nayarit were warned that many vacationers from Jalisco were on their way to coastal towns for Semana Santa, ignoring the severity of the Coronavirus pandemic.\u00a0Since April 5th, Sayulita is only accessible to locals\/residents and essential workers.<\/p>\n<p>All\u00a0vehicles\u00a0entering Sayulita are met by\u00a0approx. 15-20 volunteers both day &amp; night. Each vehicle, including local transportation, is examined by the group and either granted or denied access into the town. Although many vacationers have been outraged by the brigade, most applaud this amazing group of volunteers for keeping Sayulita safe &amp; healthy.
