\u201cUn\u00a0cachorro!\u201dsquealed\u00a0the children\u00a0at Escuela\u00a0Cooperativa (www.escuelasayulita.org<\/a>)\u00a0when Aleks Fedorov\u00a0arrived with Georgi, a\u00a0two-month old puppy\u00a0from SayulitAnimals (https:\/\/sayulitanimals.org<\/a>).\u00a0Aleks and Georgi were coming to join the\u00a0English Language class\u00a0at Escuela. \u201cCachorro\u00a0is puppy in English,\u201d said\u00a0Jay Peterson\u00a0our\u00a0Language\u00a0teacher. Jay thought a\u00a0real\u00a0puppy would be a great way to help the children remember the English words for dog and puppy. Jay, along with Diane Wilkerson formerly with\u00a0the\u00a0ASPCA in N.Y., talked to the class about how to be gentle with animals and treat them with respect.\u00a0<\/p>\n <\/p>\n<\/p>\n <\/p>\n This lesson reinforces the mission of SayulitAnimals to create an environment of compassion and respect for all animals and helps Sayulita\u2019s youngest children learn English and understand how to act around animals.
