It\u2019s become a weekly staple for me and honestly, no dinner makes my 4-year-old happier. I find myself craving it just as much. My personal go-to? Not even on the menu: three patties over a bed of fries, topped with onions, pickles, and of course, that signature Baby\u2019s sauce. It\u2019s simple, nostalgic, and completely addictive. It\u2019s comfort food at its best. Here\u2019s the story behind the spot everyone keeps coming back to this local favorite.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Can you tell us a little about yourself and what brought you to Sayulita?<\/strong>
The typical Sayulita story! I had an injury that temporarily took me out of work, so I came here on vacation\u2026 and I never left!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What inspired you to start this business here?<\/strong>
I was looking for a way to stay in paradise while also creating a space for the community. I wasn\u2019t sure what kind of place it would be, but I knew I wanted something with a cultural mix\u2014somewhere everyone could feel comfortable, with no pretensions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What\u2019s something most people don\u2019t know about your story or background?<\/strong>
I was a large-animal veterinarian for seven years! I broke my hand, and that\u2019s how I ended up in Sayulita.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What makes your business unique in Sayulita?<\/strong>
The atmosphere! It\u2019s casual\u2014perfect for coming with friends, family, or a partner. We offer fast service and excellent-quality ingredients.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How would you describe the vibe or spirit of your place?<\/strong>
Burgers are one of those foods everyone thinks they\u2019ve perfected, and that\u2019s the magic of selling burgers. What I offer is exactly what, from my perspective, is perfect: bread that doesn\u2019t get soggy, slightly sweet so it pairs perfectly with the fresh meat blend we prepare in-house. It\u2019s simple, no vegetables, but with customization options. Don\u2019t make me put salad on my little meat cookie!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s delicious, nostalgic, and a little hug from me to everyone. Whether you\u2019re having a good day, a bad day, or a tired one\u2014have a burger and a Coke and you reset. Haha.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Is there a product, dish, or experience that is especially close to your heart?<\/strong>
Having a burger business was actually my dad\u2019s unfulfilled dream. Getting the chance to live that dream together is the best part of all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What does it mean to you to be part of the Sayulita community?<\/strong>
It feels like home. Being able to get credit at the local shop, trading things with neighbors, seeing friends become collaborators\u2014and the other way around. Being able to develop ideas together with other members of the community so easily. I love it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I traveled a lot searching for what I\u2019ve found here: this creative, diverse, ever-changing community, with that special \u201csomething\u201d that can turn a normal day into an adventure you remember forever.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Do you collaborate with local artisans, organizations, or causes?<\/strong>
Right now we donate time and money to Sayulita Animals, and very soon we\u2019ll launch an adoption promotion program called \u201cAdopt Me Baby,\u201d<\/em> where you\u2019ll be able to see dogs looking for a home\u2014and there will be a burger reward for giving a loyal friend a new family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How do you see your business supporting or giving back to the Sayulita community?<\/strong>
We work to create local jobs, collaborate with other local businesses, and involve the people who are part of everyday life in town. We also try to keep the spirit of Sayulita alive in our space: authentic, casual, and vibrant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What\u2019s your favorite way to spend a morning in Sayulita?<\/strong>
With my dogs on the north side of town, drinking a coffee made by Pollo at Anchor Caf\u00e9. A quick swim, and then off to work!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
