The kids aren&#8217;t just anyone \u2014 they&#8217;re selected by their own teachers for showing promise, and the camp is their reward: a week of encouragement and inspiration to keep it up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A Program Built on Giving Back<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Mar y Vida has been running since 2018, powered by a small team, continued support from local businesses, hired staff, and Bah\u00eda de Banderas lifeguards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;I started this program with a small team as a way to give back to the community that has given me so much,&#8221; the organizers shared. &#8220;Mar y Vida always feels good to host because we get to connect with the local kids who inspire as well as the parents who raise them. Grateful to be able to call Sayulita my community and only hope these kids have a good experience and get to enjoy what many people from around the world travel here to experience.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What a Week at Camp Looks Like<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The daily schedule is built to give kids a taste of everything that makes Sayulita special:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Surf sessions<\/strong> with instructors<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Ocean safety courses<\/strong> taught by Bah\u00eda de Banderas lifeguard staff<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Art sessions<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>A day aboard the Ally Cat<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Why the Fundraising Ask<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Funds raised go directly toward making the week possible: rash guards, gift bags, snacks, surf instructors, transportation, and the cost of an afternoon aboard the Ally Cat.
