Hi! Can you tell us a little bit about yourself?<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0
Hi! My name is Nelly, I’m 35 years old, originally from Guanajuato but pretty much grew up in the Bay (Bahia de Banderas) area. I’m Buddhist so it’s important to me to help others. I have two wonderful kids, 3 dogs (one of them will totally steal your food!), and 3 cats. The funny thing is that of all my pets only one of the dogs was planned. I’m also a proud plant lady and will share my plant cuttings if you want one. I enjoy drawing, painting, making some bas relief and sculpting, making floral arrangements, decorating cakes, and anything that makes things prettier! I think that’s also why I love working with weddings, it’s such a great outlet for creativity and problem solving.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How did you first land in Sayulita?<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0
I was working at Don Pedros Restaurant as Events manager for about 7 years, back then I used to live in Bucer\u00edas but I liked it here so much better so eventually I moved to Sayulita.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What about Sayulita inspired you to stay and start your business here?\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>
Honestly, Sayulita is such a unique town. When I used to live in Bucer\u00edas, it was such a different environment. I still don’t know what my neighbors were called! Here it really feels like a community, everyone knows everyone, you can be out late at night and wont feel scared that you will be robbed or anything like that. For me as a mom it really felt like the right place for us to live, and my kids LOVE it! My dogs are super happy with our morning walks on the beach, I get to see little parakeets on my guava tree in the mornings. It just hits different… and a plus is that all the dogs here are super friendly, I have be honest, the ones in Bucer\u00edas will definitely chase you! As for weddings, I think that the couples that decide to marry in Sayulita come for the same reason, you just fall in love with the town and get to enjoy it! So it’s not just the wedding itself but a whole vacation for them and the guests.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

How did you get\u00a0into the wedding industry?\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>
I was working for Don Pedros and came to realize that many people really want to have their wedding here but don’t have the big budget for a super expensive wedding. I really like to be able to make it happen for them, I love the opportunity to help and be a part of such an important moment, it makes me really happy.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What about your services sets you apart from others?\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>
I’ll go the extra mile for you. If there is something I can do or make happen, I’ll totally do it.\u00a0I’ve sometimes even made the flowers for the wedding.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I love how some time later I get to meet the couple’s babies when they come back! It’s such a wonderful thing to see their families grow.
