{"id":902,"date":"2018-05-10T14:26:53","date_gmt":"2018-05-10T14:26:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.sayulitalife.com\/sayulero\/?p=902"},"modified":"2018-05-10T14:26:53","modified_gmt":"2018-05-10T14:26:53","slug":"live-love-and-eat-in-sayulita-ketogenic-pizza","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.sayulitalife.com\/sayulero\/live-love-and-eat-in-sayulita-ketogenic-pizza\/","title":{"rendered":"Live, Love and Eat in Sayulita &#8211; Ketogenic Pizza"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Pizza has always been my favorite go-to food when I want something special, so I absolutely needed a <span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Ketogenic Friendly Pizza Crust<\/span><\/strong><\/span>.\u00a0I have already given you a <span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.sayulitalife.com\/news\/detail\/548\" target=\"_blank\">Cauliflower Crust Recipe<\/a><\/span>, and I really like it, but I have recently found my perfect crust. Tastes so much like the real deal! Although a weird name, in my opinion (it&#8217;s called a Fathead pizza crust), I decided to give it a try, and I am more than happy that I did. It is fantastic; thin, crispy, easy to make, and to top it off, this crust tastes delicious! Your Sayulita family and friends will be shocked when you tell them that this is a wonderful low carb treat.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>INGREDIENTS:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&#8211; 1 &amp;1\/2 cups Grated mozzarella cheese &#8211; I find that the taste of\u00a0mozzarella is much too bland for me, so I like to use Manchego de\u00a0Cabra, a goat cheese that grates and melts beautifully. Many tiendas in Sayulita carry it.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; 2 ounces Philadelphia Cream Cheese &#8211; You can find it in many\u00a0Sayulita tiendas.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; 1 egg<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; 3\u20444 cup Almond Flour<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; 1\u20442 teaspoon Garlic Powder<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; 1 teaspoon dried Oregano; always crush dried herb leaves before\u00a0adding to the dough. Crushing it brings out the beautiful aroma.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>INSTRUCTIONS:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>1. Place a baking sheet upside down on the lowest rack in the oven and<br \/>\nPreheat oven to 425 degrees.<\/p>\n<p>2. Sprinkle a parchment lined baking sheet with cornmeal.<\/p>\n<p>3. Combine the grated cheese and cream cheese together in a microwave\u00a0proof bowl for 30 seconds. Stir together and then microwave for\u00a0another 30 seconds. Stir again.<\/p>\n<p>4. Add the almond flour, oregano, garlic powder, and the egg to the\u00a0melted cheeses. Using a fork, mix together until all is well combined.<\/p>\n<p>5. Wet your hands with olive oil and then pat out the dough with your\u00a0fingers. I like a rectangular shape best. For a nice crispy crust, pat out the\u00a0dough nice and thin. Be patient, as this takes 2 or 3 minutes.<\/p>\n<p>6. Transfer dough on parchment paper to upside down heated baking pan.\u00a0This extra heat helps to crisp the dough nicely.<\/p>\n<p>7. Bake 12-14 minutes or until the crust is golden brown.<\/p>\n<p>8. Top with your favorite toppings and bake until cheese is melted.<\/p>\n<p>9. I love pesto, roasted garlic, thinly sliced chorizo, jalape\u00f1os, and of course,\u00a0more Manchego de cabra.<\/p>\n<p>10. Add 2 Tablespoons of Lala Crema to a small ziplock bag; cut off a tiny\u00a0corner with scissors and then drizzle the crema over the top of the\u00a0baked pizza in zigzag lines. This is optional and makes for a nice<br \/>\npresentation.<\/p>\n<p>11. You can also scatter a few fresh cilantro leaves over the top.<\/p>\n<p>12. Slice and Devour.
