Sayulita Sailing done right!
We had a crew of 7 looking for a unique experience for a birthday celebration to Sayulita. It was our first time aboard with Daren and his crew.

The communication for booking while we were in the states was tremendous and we had no issues with the agency for booking our party.

When we arrived we were greeted by Captain Daren and knew that we were in for a good time. You just know when you've picked the right boat and Daren, Pancho and crew provided an unforgettable experience at sea with snorkeling, beach excursions, great music, and much more. I would highly recommend booking this boat for an excursion while in Sayulita or PV.

We considered coming back the following night for a dinner cruise as we had such a good experience, but it wasn't in the cards this time. Daren we'll be back for another boat ride with you and the Sayula 1!! Thanks for the memories.

Great crew on the boat
We had an awesome day on the boat with Pancho and the gang. They catered to a diverse group of guests and did so very successfully. My kids (6 and 10) were the only two on the boat and the crew were great with them. I would highly recommend the trip.

Ditto on the rocky communications/interactions with the office manager. Definitely challenging.

A great time on the boat
Our family of five, 3 kids ages 10-15, had a great time. The crew was extremely nice and professional. They were so friendly and so attentive. It was the highlight of our trip to sayulita!

We did have a rocky start to the trip. Communication with Rio, the trip manager, was iffy. There was a lot of last minute communication and our trip was cancelled twice at the 11th hour. We were also quoted a price for the trip which was changed only when we happen to see Rio on the street the night before the trip.

We were going to bring other family members who had children ages 3 and 5. We were told that that age would be fine for the boat. However, once we got on the boat it became obvious that children that young would not do so well. The boat doesn't have railings all around and the trip to the big island required us to swim in. If you have young children that are not strong swimmers or older family members/friends they could not make it to the island w/out swimming. And even though you were required to wear life jackets you still had to be comfortable in the water and a good swimmer due to the currents and the distance you had to swim.

All that aside, once we got on the boat the experience was excellent. There was plenty of food. Lunch was super. And lots of drinks, both alcoholic and non. The trip to the Island was lots of fun, there was plenty of snorkeling equipment, and we got to paddleboard, kayak, and snorkel at the island. We saw 3 beautiful whales which were so close to the boat that we got amazing photos! They also dropped a fishing line while we were sailing and we caught 4 huge fish. One of the tuna that we caught they whipped up into some delicious ceviche!

We stopped on the way back to port and spent about 30 minutes jumping off the boat. The kids loved the time jumping off, climbing back on board and jumping again.

Huge kudos to the boat staff! They totally made the trip!

We would highly recommend a day on the Sayula 1!

Always a Blast!!
I was lucky enough to sail with Darrin and his crew two years ago when I was in Sayulita for a wedding. We had an amazing time. So when my family and I were planning a trip to Sayulita this past May, I was very excited to get back aboard Sayulita 1!

We had a group of 7 people and were only joined by another couple, had the boat pretty much to ourselves! We set sail on a beautiful day, enjoyed delicious food and drinks, great company and a great time overall. We snorkeled, swam, saw dolphins, and even flew in the spinnaker!

If we have the pleasure of coming back to Sayulita again we will be sure to sail with Darrin and his lovely crew yet another time.

Great adventure in Sayulita!
We found Adventure Sailing and Capt. D on Sayulita life and all the recommendations really speak to the experience. We enjoyed sailing and the trip to the Marieta Islands. The snorkeling, swimming, seeing dolphins, and just being out on the ocean for the day was all spectacular. The food was delicious and the drinks good, the crew was fun and accommodating, overall it was a great experience.

Relaxing yet adventurous day!
I went on the all-day sailing adventure with my boyfriend, his mom, cousin, aunt, and uncle. We all had a really great day that consisted mostly of laying in the sun on the boat's deck (There were comfy cushions and lots of nice spots to kick back), drinking beers (one of his crew brought them around whenever we needed more), and we had the opportunity to help out with sailing the boat and handling some of the lines, which was fun. When we got to the Marietas Islands, Darrin made sure we didn't enter the cave to the secret beach when it was crowded. Since a big tour boat from PV was pulling up, he took us around to the other island to swim and kayak, and when we returned to the cave it was mostly empty. The best part was when on the way back, we pulled up by a small beach and dropped anchor. Some of us dove in and swam to the beach, where a family was cooking up a bunch of carne asada and other treats over a fire. Darrin let us hang out there long enough for the family to share a bunch of their food with us, and we all had a really great time. The trip felt more like partying and adventuring with friends than going on a guided tour. However, the captain and crew were clearly very experienced and safety was never a concern. This trip is highly recommended!

Twice in one trip!
We came to Sayulita on our honeymoon, and after one amazing trip on Sayula 1, we came again 2 days later. Darrin and his crew are so accommodating, and a BLAST! We sailed, snorkeled, saw beautiful caves and secluded beaches. Ate some incredible ceviche, fresh fruit, fresh sandwiches, rum punch, and more. Everything was perfect. Both times there was a wide range of people of different ages and backgrounds, so I would say it doesnt matter who you are or where you're from, you're gonna be well taken care of, and have a once in a lifetime experience (or in our case, twice :) )

WELL BEYOND ADVERTISED!
Our day trip (2 adults/2 kids) was like nothing we had experienced before. Modest group size... dolphins...whales... swimming...secluded beaches. And on top of it all, a live 3 piece Mexican/Argentinian jazz band crushed it on the trip back from the islands. This is a more free form outfit... so if you want chill time (less structure...and I mean that in a good way), then this is your charter service. RIO/CPT D/PANCHO/CHEWY were all fantastic and dialed in to every clients needs. Two thumbs up... these guys are money!
