Treetop paradise
We loved our stay here. My husband, 13yr old son and I spent a week in the lower studio unit with our son on an airbed. It catered perfectly to all of our needs. The location is excellent with a short walk down the hill (little side path shortcuts available too) to town and the beach.
Communication with the owner, George was amazing and he was incredibly helpful throughout our stay. We can't thank you enough!
I highly recommend this and we wouldn't hesitate to book this place again.

Tree top oasis
Three of us spent a wonderful Christmas week at Casa Valmonte. The house is a treasure the way it wraps itself around and into the landscape with its multiple private corners, colorful artistic flourishes, and panoramic canopy top vistas of the ocean and surrounding forested landscape punctuated by other brightly colored tree top houses in the distance. The nautilus spiral theme embodied by the sweeping balconies and entrance insignia draws you in and embraces, right down to the shape and inlay of the outdoor shower - definitely one of the highlights. Our teenage daughter enjoyed the spacious lower level and it’s shaded forest interior perspective to herself. The proximity to downtown and the beaches was perfect, close in time and distance but far away in space and peaceful isolation from the action and hubbub of central Sayulita. The steeply inclined cobblestone lane and stairs linking the two worlds provided daily stimulation and sense of accomplishment on return to this beautiful sanctuary. It is well worth a stay...

Our family loved Valmonte!
We (married couple and 10/8 year olds) visited Sayulita for the first time aroundPresidents' Day week and were incredibly happy with our decision to stay at Casa Valmonte. The owner and property manager were easy to communicate with and provided anyinfo and arrangements needed prior to our trip. We loved the house (really 2 separateresidences) and were surrounded by the feeling of, and woke feeling like, we were in a treehouse. Gorgeous trees, birds, and giant iguanas greeted us throughout the day. Everythingwe needed for our stay was provided in the well-stocked house. It's a relatively steep , but pretty easy, walk to the main square just down the hill (my kids had no issues) and thebeach is a couple short blocks past that. 5-10min. You're surrounded by other gorgeoushouses, but the size of the Valmonte lot makes it seem like you're very private, with greatviews of the ocean and surrounding hills. Our only concern was the fact that the two separate levels, as noted by others, made ituncomfortable for us to have the kids sleeping on one, with us on the other. This isdescribed by the owner, but we were definitely hesitant ourselves. The lower level, whilevery well lit, requires you to walk down outside stairs to reach it. We ended up splittingtime between mom/kid, dad/kid, etc. sleeping arrangements due to this.Overall, we LOVED the property, it's location, views, and the space itself, and certainly recommend it. We'd love to return.

Hilltop Paradise with 180* Views
This wonderfully artistic home has a spectacular westerly views from the top of Gringo hill. In the morning we were greeted by the tropical birds foraging in the tree tops, and in the evening as the sunset behind the lush landscape, the clouds glow from orange to pink to red! We have stayed many times at difference places in Sayulita and this was just perfect for our group of two couples. Upstairs has the lovely patio with the views, full kitchen, living area and master bedroom with a cool outdoor shower(none indoors on this level). Downstairs was a cute studio, enormous kind size bed and indoor shower/en-suite bath, also with a small kitchenette.
Check-in and check-out were a breeze as Stephanie was a great communicator and was available if we needed her. The walk to town is short but STEEP! I'd highly recommend a golf cart or car- we had our car and felt very secure with it behind the locked gate. The whole house felt very secure and more importantly secluded! Only thing to see is the trees and the ocean, very private. We did have some noise in the morning from the construction happening below the property, but after a while you simply ignore it. Music from a neighbors house on Saturday night was loud and lasted until 4am, but again, that's the Mexican way and we just learned to ignore it.

Thank you Lindsey for your lovely review. We are glad you appreciated our house as much as we do! I am sorry that the cleaning in the lower unit was not as good as it should have been, and I will alert the cleaning people.

Thank you,

Excellent Choice!
Wonderful home perched at the top of Gringo Hill in a lush setting. The gardens are beautiful, the home perfect for a family or two couples, and the views lovely. The cobblestone street leads you down directly to the plaza and the beach, and we found the walk (even back up) beautiful. If you'd like to get away from the generally crowded area of the beach right off the plaza, just walk a few minutes north and you're nearly alone, but can still enjoy a margarita on the sand. If you want to forsake all amenities, hike over the rocks and around the bend for a truly amazing beach experience. Enjoy!

Vacation Home is a Work of Art
Casa Valmonte has received rave reviews for its ocean views. I want to add that being there was like living in a seashell enveloped in its sweeping curves and undulations. The house is a fusion of local styles, materials and workmanship embellished by the amazing art works of the first owner, Art Weber, a heart surgeon, who must have spent full time painting chairs and tables, creating ceramic murals and carving life-size wooden sculptures that inhabit the lush gardens around the house. Folding glass window-walls open on to a scene of tropical birds plucking fruits from tree branches. Despite the allure of the town, the beaches, and all there is to explore beyond Sayulita I can honestly say I enjoyed the house most of all.

Wonderful view in the treetops.
We enjoyed the birds and iguanas in the trees!
We rented a golf cart which was perfect for the location because the road up to the house is steep and narrow. We walked down many times to the plaza in less than 10 minutes.
We felt safe. Purified water is provided. The house is very well stocked. There is a separate unit below with the 2nd bed and no access except outside and down some stairs. So, this might not work with younger children but fine for older children or 2 couples.

It was quiet at night except for one night of local music nearby. (Sunday)
No beach noise. No wave noise or party noise. ;)
There is daytime noise with construction nearby and road construction below but not bothersome. It's very secluded and nice.

Wonderful Getaway
My husband and I called Casa Valmonte, the Treehouse, because the views from every window were as if we were sitting on a treetop. The privacy of the home, just a short walk from the vibrant town square, and beautiful beaches of Sayulita, provided a lovely getaway. The house and gardens that surround, are well cared for by Jesus. Stephanie was always available for any questions or recommendations. All and all we had a great experience, and we highly recommend this property.

Beautiful grounds and views
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Casa Valmonte. We rented both apartments for 2 couples. The upstairs kitchen is well stocked and great for in home cooking. The landscaping is beautiful with lots of flowers, art work and beautiful views. Jesus and Emelia kept the home and grounds very clean and Stephanie was easily available if needed. It is at the top of a hill but we enjoyed the walk and privacy/quiet. We highly recommend Casa Valmonte.

Very peaceful oasis with wonderful views!
I just stayed in Casa Valmonte for one week in Feb 2015. It was so quiet and peaceful, with the carnival in town and all of the loud music, I heard nothing but the birds. It is a perfect size one bedroom house, with a good working kitchen, and really comfortable bed. The patio is large and very nice with partial shade, great views, and wonderful spot to read and practice yoga. The housekeeper and gardener were so sweet, and came three times to check on me and clean the property. I had good wifi and hot water for showering. I love the location, just a quick five minute walk to town. I hope to make this a frequent vacation destination. I give it 5 gold stars!
