What a treat in the heart of Sayulita
Such a wonderful stay in this well appointed 2 level suite. The hosts are amazing and our stay was really enjoyable. Loved the salt water pool that cooled us down after a walk thru town and sitting on the comfy outdoor couches on our top floor patio reading with a drink. Gabe was always there to make sure our stay was stress free. I highly recommend staying at this little oasis!

Wonderful place to stay in Sayulita
Amazing stay at Casa Vecino. Before we arrived, Gabe helped us to figure out transportation from Puerto Vallarta to Sayulita (Compostela for culture @42 pesos, taxi for comfort @400 pesos). Upon arrival, we were greeted very
hospitably and given the tour around town, which was immensely helpful. He helped us get set up with a one-on-one surf instructor (Yaishi) and shop (Lunazul). Playa de Muertos was perfectly quiet and great for bodysurfing.

The beach in town had great surf and beach bars, but lots of vendors. Location of the house was ideal for walking to town and/or either beach. When I come back to Sayulita, it'll be to visit Gabe, Wendy, and Casa Vecino.

Exactly what we needed
Gabriel's place was exactly what we needed on our quick trip down south. Regarding the Home: The place was spotless, we had Gabriel greet us when we arrived. You walk in through the entrance to this area with a salt water pool and beautiful palm trees. We stayed in the private villa which was a little bit more private than the other villas in the tower next to ours. We had a bathroom in our room, upstairs and a community bathroom down stairs. Needless to say, you never had to wait for the restroom. Our rooms were kept up the entire stay which is not common for most vacation rentals. We had a kitchenette with everything we could have needed. The AC in our room kicked on and cooled the room down in minutes.

Regarding the Host: Gabriel was awesome. Very personable and we wish we could have visited more but due
to our shot stay we did not get that time. Gabriel also rescues dogs in Sayulita so you have a few four legged friends that are so sweet and just want all the love. He immediately offered beer or margaritas when we arrived which was a perfect touch. We would stay at his place again just to have such an awesome host.

Regarding Location: Two blocks from the main strips. Perfect distance to be away from the city loud noises but close enough to walk to anywhere within 5 minutes. Yah Yah Cafe was on the corner from where the villa is, great spot for coffee and snacks. Also has Vegetarian and GF options. Overall, we will be back. 100% one of my top vacation rental experiences. We now have a "go-to" spot in Sayulita.

What a pleasant retreat!
Gabriel and his wife were very welcoming, first with a nice mango margarita then with a highly informative golf cart tour of both the hot spots and hidden local gems around Sayulita. I felt the description is very on point, and as others have pointed out, this particular casita (Estrella) has a second space that is open air - it was lovely for the time of our visit in late November, and for use as a living room... was actually one of my favorite parts of the trip reading and relaxing up there; however, if you’re expecting a very private bedroom this isn’t the space (I’d say it’s better!) The main level bedroom and kitchenette are perfect for a couple, kept tidy with all essentials
and a very comfy bed and soft sheets.

Location was an easy walk to town/beach and though it was far from rough city sounds/traffic, it came with its own sounds - mostly of animal and jungle variety at night and nothing that disturbed sleep... and light music during the day. we found it added to the charm of the neighborhood and experience. All of these sounds could have been minimized or eliminated by shutting our patio door, and cranking the AC but the fan and breeze were too perfect. All in all a superb place, would definitely visit again, and encourage others to do so as well!

Amazing Experience!!
From the moment we arrived Gabe and Wendy were so welcoming and hospitable. The split level casita we stayed in was absolutely gorgeous and the pool was great for cooling off in the afternoon/evening after we got back from the beach. We enjoyed every minute of our stay and would definitely recommend Casa Vecino to anyone looking to stay in Sayulita!

This place was great!
We stayed in the estrella casita. The room was really clean. Beds were super comfy. Pool was a great place to chill in between days and nights out! Not too far from the plaza and beach. Good coffee only 100m away. Gabe was very helpful with everything we needed. Awesome roof top patio with beach views and BBQ. Would recommend to anyone!

We had an amazing time!
“We stayed at Casa Vecino for 6 nights and we had an amazing time! The place is very clean, comfortable, in a great location that is close to everything, and has lots of natural light. I appreciated the fact that they have comfortable, quality mattresses since some places skimp on that. The pool and the rooftop areas are awesome if you want to hang out at the house and relax, and an easy walk to restaurants, bars, stores, and the beach. As great as everything was, the one thing that stood out the most was the host Gabriel. He has been by far the best host i have ever had at any airbnb I’ve stayed. He is very helpful, very welcoming, and very easy to talk to. If you plan on staying in Sayulita you should definitely stay at this place!”
