Description
Villa Bali #5 in Sayulita, is one of 6 antique (100+ year old) homes in a small community on a private road. My husband and I were the importers, designers and developers of the Villa Bali project.  This is our private home.  Being at Villa Bali gives you the chance to unwind and relax. Wake up to the sound of birds or enjoy the semi-private beach just 2 blocks away.Located 1.5 miles from Sayulita's town center, you can enjoy a cool 30-45 minute walk under the lush jungle canopy or call on one of many reliable taxis, or you may also rent a golf cart. This 1 bedroom home is safe, secure and serene. Close enough to enjoy the town, yet far enough away to avoid the hustle and bustle of Sayulita. The combination of the antique homes, and the uniqueness of our environment, is an experience like no other.

The Space
Fully furnished and well-appointed, our home was modernized and then combined with other architectural items from around the world. Equipped with one queen bed, one twin that substitutes as a couch, one bathroom, a small kitchen, and a living and dining area. There is a beautiful porch that is nestled in the tree tops, perfect to bird watch or lay on the Balinese bench and read a book. We supply all linens, towels, kitchen equipment, beach towels, beach chairs, boogie boards and umbrellas, and there's an outdoor BBQ for grilling. During whale season you can see whales breaching so don't forget to bring the binoculars that we supply to the beach!

Guest Access
This is a stand-alone separate home with its own entrance, outdoor patio and covered porch

Other Things To Note
I give my guests space but am available when needed.
We have a property manager who will take you out to Villa Bali, and be available by telephone should you need anything during your stay. Often we are not there when the homes are rented. If we are there during your stay, we will be happy to answer any questions and help you with anything.
We do not recommend this home for small children or infants.

Cant Wait To Return
We had an amazing stay at Villa Bali. It was perfect for us. Linda and TR are wonderful hosts who are very helpful and knowledgeable about Sayulita. Villa Bali is in the jungle and truly sublime. You can meander paths through the jungle to enjoy different beaches or walk to town. The closest beach is about 10 minutes away, deserted, and gorgeous. Town is about 35 minutes walk or a short cab ride. Part of the charm was getting a little lost on the jungle paths and finding new nooks and crannies to explore. Work on your fire starting skills and grill in the open air under the canopy of trees and palms (pick up some newspaper in town). And……. the indoor yet outdoor shower is spa like. Can’t wait to return.

Fantastic Experience
What a fantastic stay just away from the hustle and bustle of Sayulita! Super interesting, helpful and accommodating hosts. The jungle paths are great for hiking and biking and there are a couple nearby beaches that you basically feel like you have to yourselves. Would recommend renting a golf cart which we did, it’s an easy drive to and from town. Thanks Linda and TR!

Definitely Recommend
It was such a unique location! My husband and I are so happy we stayed there. Def recommend if you want something different not straight in town. You can still get everywhere by golf cart or walking .

The Most Peaceful Stay
This was one of the most peaceful places I have stayed in. The jungle sounds were so amazing to go to sleep to. I was able to get up and do yoga on the veranda as the sun was rising. The remoteness makes it peaceful but also challenging. Read the description carefully and be sure you are ready for the challenges. I would recommend renting a car. Local taxi drivers had a very difficult time finding the place. The jungle path to the beach was a fun adventure as well as the path into town. The closest beach was fabulous! There were only ever a few people if any on the beach. I swam and snorkeled for hours. The sea life was plentiful. I definitely will be returning with a traveling companion in the future.

Highly Recommend
We loved our stay at Villa Bali! Such a unique spot surrounded by the most beautiful lush jungle with stunning semi-private beaches only a short adventure away. Linda was quick to provide solutions to any of our concerns and we appreciated all of her and Conchita’s assistance and suggestions. Pictures do not do this place justice!

A Beautiful Jungle Oasis
A beautiful jungle cabin - away from the noise of town, so peaceful, and surrounded by lush jungle. Having coffee in the morning on the balcony and watching the birds and iguanas was one of my favourite parts of the trip! And the nearby beach! Don’t even bother going to the main beach in Sayulita when you have this gem so close by. The perfect little hidden gem of Sayulita :)

Everything was perfect!
We had an incredible time in Sayulita. All of the people, restaurants, shops and beaches were fun, but it was a pleasure to be able to escape the crowds and relax in the quiet of this jungle abode. The nearby beach is magnificent. Linda and her husband were attentive and generous, while still allowing privacy. I would definitely stay there again.

Amazing Hosts
We loved our stay at villa Bali. Linda and TR are great hosts. Very accommodating, flexible, kind and very informative about the area and what to do!

It’s a bit of a walk to city center so if your looking for quiet in the jungle this is it. It took us about 25 min each day to get into town. There is a way you can get there via jungle paths and off the highway.

The Perfect Escape
A perfect escape in nature to unwind, but not too far from the town and all conveniences. We had such a wonderful time, the Balinese villa is really beautiful and well furnished with comfy beds, the nearby private beach was amazing - most of the time we had the whole beach to ourselves! - and Linda and TR were really friendly and great hosts.

We had the use of bodyboards, a cool box to take to the beach and keep our beers cold, and a BBQ which we made very good use of on our last evening. Would totally recommend this place to anyone looking for an easy and comfortable retreat away from the hustle and bustle.

My husband and I have enjoyed traveling around the world. We love to share our appreciation for artifacts, textiles and folk art with others and we enjoyed incorporating them into these very unique houses that we imported and designed. We have specialized in importing from Morocco and Indonesia for many years, and still enjoy returning to see what we can find.
