Villa Karuna is a two story 3000 sq ft. romanitc beautiful home and has been custom handcrafted throughout. Attention to detail is evident in the marble, onyx and tile work in the kitchen and the bathrooms, as well as in the artwork, the statues and surrounding beautiful gardens.
Located in one of the last remaining tropical jungles by the sea in Mexico, Villa Karuna, sits high on a jungle ridge overlooking the Pacific Ocean. The beautiful, expansive view includes magnificent sunsets over the sea as well as an ongoing amazing bird watching opportunity. This spacious well-appointed kitchen is designed for your entertaining pleasure. Downstairs there is an open floor plan with a living room, a dining room and a handcrafted parota bar that seats 6 while it looks out onto the deck, the pool, the jungle and the ocean. Upstairs there are 2 master suites. Each suite includes a king-sized bed, glorious bathroom and private deck. The master bath features a two person custom onyz/granite hot tub for your romantic and relaxing pleasures. Additionally, between the two suites, is a large deck affording plenty of room to read, practice yoga, enjoy a sunset margarita/tea or simply enjoy the view. Villa Karuna was designed to increase your connection with nature by bringing the outside inside. The entire ocean side of the house uses bi-fold local wood framed glass doors as walls so you can enjoy the open air or close them and still see the magnificent view of the ocean and sunsets. Although the gentle breeze keeps the rooms cool, air conditioning is available in each of the suites. Karuna feels like a private sanctuary.. a place to relax.
Our Sunrise Casita is a secluded ridgetop romantic hideaway and is a 700 sq ft. bungalow style home. It also features a king size bed, outstanding 360 degree views, has a full kitchen, a large bathroom, is air-conditioned and sits on top of the world. It is perfect for 2 people, is completely private from the main house and it can be used to house additional members of your family/party.
Our beautiful 2-bedroom home, VIlla Karuna, plus our Sunrise casita is located 1 mile south of Sayulita's town plaza. It is near enough to walk ~ 15-20 minutes, drive or hop a taxi into town and back for all the great food, shopping and nightlife, but far enough to be away from all the hustle and bustle and party noise. It's perfect for your relaxing, private and peaceful vacation opportunity.
Villa Karuna's property hass a 2 bedroom home. It sleeps 4-5. Plus, Sunreise Casita is a 1 bedroom studio. It sleeps 2 + 1. The house and the casita can be rented separately or together if you have a larger group or family. Sleeps 6 to 8 people. See rates below.
Deposit: 50% of rental amount to reserve houses; balance due no less than thirty days prior to occupancy.
Cancellation: Up to thirty days prior to occupancy deposit refunded, less a 20% service charge. Full payment is required thirty days before occupancy. If after full payment a cancellation is necessary a 20% service charge will be deducted from the the full rental price. If the house does not re-rent then the house will be considered rented by you and the full amount of the rental fee will be retained.
We stayed at Villa Karuna for a wonderful and spiritually healing 10 days. Because we were traveling outside the U.S. with small children for the first time, I was very anxious about what to expect. My fears and worries melted away as we entered this special, enchanted property. The house is absolutely stunning, filled with artwork, sculptures of goddesses, and luxurious amenities. The landscaping is beautifully and lovingly cared for, and cannot disappoint with every tropical flower one can imagine. The view from the balcony is breathtaking, and I found it to be a wonderful place to watch the sunset with my husband and relax while the girls slept. We spent a good deal of time in the pool, and appreciated the fact that it has a shallow level for kids. Even while being very tucked away in the safe embrace of the jungle, town was only a hop skip and jump away. Town was low key and friendly, with a safe and fun beach for the kids within walking distance. The girls were so sad to leave their new "Mexico home" but we assured them we would return again and again. I have to say I am a very anxious being (even more so since kids) but I felt nothing but positive benevolent energy flowing there. I left feeling empowered to trust more that everything will be alright as if mother ocean was whispering that to me.

Hidden Paradise
I stayed 5 days at Villa Karuna with my wife and her family from Mexico. We rented both the Villa and the Casita and found them both to be well decorated, clean and tidy. The property is located just out of town but close enough to walk to the beach or shops. We enjoyed everything about our stay from the amazing views, the lush gardens all the way to the lovely care taker Ernesto. Although I had wished our stay was longer it was enough to become totally relaxed and tune into the strong spirit of the house and it's surroundings.
Thanks for having us, we would love to return some day!

Easily the NICEST place I have ever Stayed
My Boyfriend and I have stayed at Villa Karuna many times and we just keep coming back! The location is amazing you are surrounded by jungle and amazing landscaping. The view of the ocean is breathtaking. The sunsets every night are extraordinary. It is close to town and easily walkable, but far enough away to remove yourself from the noise and tourists of town. There are amazing details in everything about the house, from the wood counter, to the beautiful counter tops, gorgeous landscaping, bathrooms, pool, and house decor. Everything about this house is gorgeous and wonderful. We love coming to stay at Villa Karuna.

Perfect home retreat
My girlfriend and I recently stayed here at Villa Karuna and I would have to say it was beyond my belief of how beautiful the area is. The views of the ocean are just incredible, the pool and all the other wonderful touches makes this place a must for anyone looking for a an amazing time in Sayulita.

Paradise
If you are looking for a stunningly beautiful and peaceful place in Sayulita - stop looking. This is it. Villa Karuna is simply PARADISE. Close enough to town and the main beach to walk (15 minutes) but far enough away to be completely removed from all the noise and dirt. This is a very secluded place that grants you complete privacy. You could hang out at the house and pool all day, walk to the local beach or, if you want to swim or surf, walk to the main beach. It's an easy 15 minute walk to town for restaurants and stores - or take a 5 minute taxi ride. The house is very well maintained and has everything you need. The pictures give you a nice glimpse, yet reality is even more beautiful with the sounds of the jungle birds and the smell of all the beautiful plants. A very special place.
