A depiction of sustainable design, Hacienda Antigua was constructed mainly of historic materials recovered from Mexican haciendas and churches too old to restore. Ancient stone, wood, and iron building materials along with antique furnishings were hand selected to add character and history, evoking the feel of a genuine hacienda during the post-classic era in the Bahia de Banderas region.
With seven private suites (including a penthouse suite with a private balcony), a gourmet commercial kitchen, and a 40 foot heated saltwater pool accented with traditional talavera tile and venetian glass, Hacienda Antigua is luxury redefined. A car is necessary to get around the area. Rancho Escondido is conveniently located in close proximity to a number of amazing day trip adventures. Rancho Escondido is 20 minutes from Sayulita, 10 minutes from San Pancho, 5 minutes from Lo De Marcos, 10 minutes to La Penita, 15 minutes to Guyabitos, and 30 minutes to Chacala.

The hacienda was spectacular. Every time I took a second to look around, I saw something new and interesting. I just wish I had someone there to tell me all the stories of all the different architectural pieces and the decor. You can just tell it all has a long history. The pool is a great size for a large group...you never felt like you were on top of each other.
As a wedding venue, Hacienda Antigua was magical. The wedding planner did an amazing job creating an atmosphere that blew me away. Everyone said it was the most beautiful wedding they had ever been too. We had 60ish guests, which was perfect for all the outdoor space this place offers. Seriously, if you are looking for a unique place for your wedding, this IS IT!
We will definitely come back if they will have us!
The staff cooked for us delicious mexican food for breakfast and kept everything clean during our stay.
There was even someone helping us with the decoration of the terrace (where we had the party), and is the perfect place to have a celebration.
We also booked Casa Molendera, which is next door to the Hacienda for the rest of our guests and everything was excellent too.
Thanks to Kelley who made every step really easy, gave us some great suggestions for tours in the area. I highly recommend this place for celebrations, it´s perfect.
I would say more, but really don't want to encourage more people to go here as I would like to return over and over and don't want it to get too crowded. The owners, the manager, the staff, and the property are all WAY above expectations and I look forward to returning again soon.
