Caesar Plascencia, born here in Sayulita and who grew up with who was a fisherman, has spent more days in the local Sayulita waters than anyone else.  Coming from a family of fishermen and Ceasar has always earned his living from the sea and looks forward to welcoming you to his beautiful boat where everyone ALWAYS has a great time and catches fish!

  • Mahi Mahi
  • Red Snapper
  • Spanish Macarel
  • Jack Crevalle
  • Pampano
  • Tuna
  • Rooster Fish

The safety of Dumay's Fishing passengers and crew is Caesar's number one concern.  That is why the boat carries a radio that is always in contact with family on shore, a GPS system, flares and lifejackets for everyone.  Though never having had an accident Dumay's Fishing trips are totally prepared should the unexpected occur.

Dumay's Fishing boat is one of the biggest in the Sayulita fishing fleet measuring 27ft long.  It has been completely designed for fishing and offers:

  • Swivel chairs
  • Live baitwell
  • Comfortable cushions
  • Canopy for shade
  • Plenty of seating room
  • Nine rod holders

My captain and crew are very experience and know where to find the fish.  We will go out the day before and catch all the baitfish so you are not waiting around the morning you want to go fishing.  You will see for yourself just how much all of us LOVE fishing.

All equipment is provided.  We use high quality rods and reels with names like Penn and Shimano.  We have light and heavy tackle. We know what to use, when and where in order to make sure you catch fish.  You can be guaranteed that if fish are in the area, you will catch them in my boat.  Get a free surfboard for a day with any fishing trip!

Snorkeling Dumay's Fishing boat is a great experience for your group or family.  We can arrange for a fishing/snorkeling combination trip or devote the entire boat to snorkeling.  All equipment is provided (spearfishing too if you prefer).  We take trips to the Marieta Islands where the fish reserve provides outstanding opportunities to see large schools of beautiful tropical fish.  The jungle scenery from the boat during the trip is outstanding.

We really look forward to welcoming you to Sayulita and about my fishing boat, The Dumay.

This Guy Catches Fish

I fished with Caesar on my last visit and can't wait to get back out with him on our visit next month. The first hour out he put us right on the Roosterfish. That was spectacular. I went 3 more times and came back with sore arms each time. The third trip he seemed to just KNOW where the fish would be. After a short boat ride we turned a corner and saw the biggest pile of diving birds and busting fish I've ever seen. Nearly every cast brought a nice fish to the boat. I didn't get to go Tuna fishing with Caesar but I saw incredible pictures from a recent trip. He launches right off the beach and with Caesar's local knowledge I don't think you'll find a better guide.

Great day on the water!

Three of my friends and I went out for a trip with Caesar and Victor based on a recommendation from a friend. We had an absolute blast. Heading out in the morning we soon found the boat surrounded by playful dolphins swimming and jumping alongside the boat. We also saw TONS of humpback whales breaching, feeding, and diving. We had some very close to the boat which was unreal to get a good look up close. Oh did I mention that we also caught a TON of fish. After catching 5 large tuna and a really big dorado, we netted a bunch of sardines and then went flyfishing (we brought our own fly rod) and fished with live bait off a reef and caught a bunch of skipjacks and mackerel. Ceasar and Victor are very friendly and fun guys to spend the day with, and were really good at finding the good fishing spots. I would recommend this trip to anyone staying in Sayulita who wants to get out on the water!

Great Fishing And Amazing Whale Watching

My wife and I went fishing with Cesar and Victor on Saturday January 21st, 2012. We booked a half day trip which lasted about five hours. We set off to net our own bait and found ourselves north of the Marieta Islands among a pod of whales feeding on small sardines. Three whales worked together to move the bait into an area and rose up at the same time out of the water scooping giant mouthfuls of fish. It was an amazing show! We then fished off the Marieta Islands catching Jack Crevalle fish in the 18 to 20 pound range. We also caught skipjacks, a smaller red snapper or Huachinango, and an Ojo de Perra which means eye of the dog. We took the smaller fish with us and had it prepared at a local restaurant off the plaza that evening. The service and results were great so we'll be back fishing with Cesar on our next visit to Sayulita
