I had an awesome experience working with Marjie on my hair and makeup for my Sayulita wedding and highly recommend Funky Diva Hair Design! We met Marjie two days before our wedding day for a consultation. She went through questions with more depth than "what's your desired foundation color?" She took time to learn about us as people, what our expectations were, what we wanted the wedding day experience to be like and more. Marjie has a great vibe; she's very calming for someone like me who is type A. She listened to our requests and executed our hair and makeup flawlessly. Our wish for our look was to be as simple, classic, and naturally elegant as possible and we were thrilled with the results.

My experience with Marjie was more than I could ever ask for! Initially, I was planning on doing my own hair and makeup for my wedding in Sayulita but after a nasty run in with a curling iron, I decided that I should leave that daunting task to the pros! At our first meeting, I knew that I had made the right choice. She made me feel comfortable and she took the time to truly get to know me and my personality and she was able to transfer that into my hair and makeup. And best of all, I still felt like me! I was worried about being made up to look like someone else. She was great about knowing when to push me a little outside of my comfort zone but also making sure that I would be happy with the end result. Marjie did an amazing job on my hair and makeup for my Los Ayala wedding (a small town near Sayulita). My husband said it was the most beautiful I ever looked. Planning a destination wedding was stressful in that I didn't have a complete picture of what everything would look like until the week of the wedding. Meeting with Marjie for my consultation prior to the wedding totally calmed my nerves about how I would look. She had some fabulous ideas and a huge book of pictures for me to browse. Being a bit indecisive, Marjie made it even easier on me by offering me her "book back" option. She gave me my long mermaid curls for the ceremony and then met me at the reception site to sweep my hair up and touch up my lipstick. I felt like a princess/model/beauty queen! On the day of my wedding, I felt so beautiful and stress-free. Marjie did exactly what I wanted and more. Her professionalism and expertise helped make my day absolutely perfect.
