Henshin Sushi Restaurant and Bar in Sayulita is located within the beautiful gardens of Casa Nawalli Resort and is now opening its doors to the public. Henshin offers Sayulita's first Japanese fine dining experience. The experienced chef of Henshin Sushi Restaurant and Bar creates a menu-free dining experience. Allow his expertise to guide the night as he prepares each item for each guest specially, based on their preferences, desires, or cravings that day. We are also available for private parties and catered events.

Henshin Sushi Restaurant and Bar provides Omakase Service. This is a traditional Japanese dining style in which the chef provides a meal tailored to your preferences based on availability, budget, taste, and seasonality. It is a very intimate and very human experience that is best thought of as a verbal and non-verbal dialogue between you and the chef.

A La Carte and To-Go Services from 2 pm to 10 pm for lunch and dinner.

Henshin has the vision to create a superlative dining experience – memorable, intimate, elegant, and a feast for the senses. Experience the intricacies and complexity of the flavors Japanese of cuisine. Henshin sources the freshest of seafood and offer a selection of premium sake and Japanese cocktails.

Henshin Sushi Restaurant and Bar offers a small chef counter to dine near the chef as he guides you through your personally created tasting menu, chic and minimalistic select indoor seating, and a beautiful patio area. We invite you to think of sushi preparation as a performance, and our counter as the stage.

Still Delicious....

Our second time to Henshin and it didn't disappoint. We are Omakase snobs AKA hard to impress. Book seats at the bar if possible and get the "premium" Omakase. You won't be disappointed. The Chef clearly has a passion for sushi/fresh fish. This is not the place to go if you want a salmon/cream cheese/mango sauce/crunch roll. This is clean, fresh, (mostly) nigiri sushi at it's best. Delicious.

incredible omakase experience on new years eve

we had the best time and meal at the omakase bar on NYE. all of the fish was fresh and so flavorful and the staff was fun to hang out with and super attentive during our meal. 10/10 will go back and recommend

Fantastic Sayulita Retreat!

Really enjoyed the beautiful garden, amazing dishes and lovely service. Really enjoyable experience, the best meal I ate in Sayulita. The chef brought classic sushi with Spanish touches. Gorgeous pieces of fish, definitely recommend leaning into the premium omakase courses. Well worth it!

Amazing Sushi

We are picky sushi eaters after having some of the freshest fish in California. We were hesitant to try this place, and we are SO happy we did! We were only in Sayulita for 4 nights, we came here 2 nights because we loved it so much. he chef and his brother are great in taking care of you and create a unique experience eating local fish and fish prepared perfectly. I can't recommend this place enough. Give them a try!

The NOBU of Sayulita, can’t miss it!

The NOBU of Sayulita! The freshest fish and rolls: creative, unique, quality & tasty. Staff is incredible and made our night. Get the omakaze with seaweed salad, nigiri & rolls!

BEST SUSHI EVER!

We ate at Henshin last night. We are from Vancouver Canada and have eaten a LOT of sushi in our lives, This was seriously the BEST ever!! Although it's expensive( 5 of us with a bottle of Sake was 1100 pesos pp), it was seriously DELICIOUS! Lizzie Barry was our server. She did an amazing job! She was very knowledgeable and attentive. I would highly recommend an evening at Henshin. The decor is beautiful!
