Casa Luna is a vacation home in Sayulita, Mexico.
Casa Luna is a great three bedroom, three bathroom vacation rental house located on a quiet cobblestone street on Gringo Hill in the village of Sayulita Nayarit, Mexico. The home offers a swimming pool, nice terraces, jungle views, and an impressive view of the ocean. The landscaping incorporates native fruit trees including lemon, lime, and guava. Enjoy the ambience of ocean breezes combined with the tranquil community in which this house resides. Like most of the nice houses in Saulita, it is located on a hill overlooking the ocean. It is a short five minute stroll from the house to town and the beach.
There is a large kitchen that is fully furnished with everything you need to cook great meals for your group. Fresh fish and great produce can be purchased from the small stores located around the village. The refrigerator is big enough to accommodate all of your purchases. The dining room table seats four and there is a very ample seating area connected to the kitchen to allow everyone in your party to converse while preparing fantastic meals. There is a built in seating/dining area on the main level terace, and a built in daybed for taking a nap or relaxing with a book.
All of the bathrooms in Casa Luna are artfully designed to incorporate the “beachy” architectural feel incorporated into the design of many of the houses here in Sayulita. The bathrooms are private but you can still enjoy the views and fresh ocean breezes while showering.
There is a king sized bed in the master bedroom, a full sized bed in the second bedroom, and a full and twin bed in the third bedroom. The master bedroom is on the highest level and has an amazing ocean view. The other two bedrooms are connected with a "Jack and Jill" style bathroom. Both of these bedrooms are at ground level and open to the pool and gardens. The front bedroom is smaller has an "ocean sliver" view. The back bedroom is more of an "overflow sleeping area" that, while large and clean, does not offer the views of the other bedrooms. (It is great for kids!). All beds have nice linens. No more than 6 people, please.
Eric Larson, a native of California, is the caretaker for Casa Luna. Return visitors to Sayulita might recognize him from Rollie's restaurant, where he has worked for many years. Upon arriving in Sayulita, he will meet you in town and take you to the house. He will be available by phone throughout your stay to assist you with your needs. Eric is also available to arrange guided surfing and snorkeling trips. Additionally, he can arrange to have a home cooked Mexican meal prepared for you in the house!
All are welcome, however toddlers and young children are discouraged for safety reasons as the pool area is not fenced, and the house and decks are not childproof.
Casa Luna is a newer home, with construction having been completed in May 2008. A major renovation was completed in October 2012, which resulted in a near doubling of the functional outdoor living space, including a brand new natural stone tiled terrace with a hammock and pergola on the upper level, and additional seating and dining areas on both levels. The home was also "spruced up" from top to bottom, with new paint inside and out, and the planting of numerous palm trees and flowering plants. As a rental, it is one of the best values in Sayulita! All-in-all, Casa Luna is a fun, attractive, and affordable Sayulita vacation rental designed for you to really enjoy your Mexican vacation.
Here is what some previous renters have had to say (reviews were postd on Sayulita Community Forum)
Hi! My wife and two kids stayed here the week before Christmas 2011 (just a few weeks ago) and it was excellent! The architecture is really good, the pool is a nice bonus (although we hardly used it as we were down at the beach most every day) and the outdoor sitting areas are great - also nice bathrooms, very functional kitchen, and restful location a very short walk from the village. You can't go wrong with Casa Luna on Gringo Hill! Bob from BC
Try Casa Luna on Gringo Hill. 3 bdr, + 1 extra bed, 2 ba, 1 Jack & Jill ba, pool, ocean view, gated, great property manager lives in town and makes himself available by phone, and the best part..... the price! Look for it on SayulitaLife.com
Casa Luna is a charming place to stay. Incredible value, quiet, clean, spacious, nice garden and little dunk pool to cool off in, lots of outdoor space and some sweet ocean views especially from the top floor bedroom. The best part is the really short walk to town plaza and the beach (5-7 minutes). We (five total) stayed a week and had a great time. Pam B.
Thanks Susan... we had a fantastic trip and really loved staying at Casa Luna!
