Mexico Wedding Coordinator in Sayulita, Mexico

Karen recently planned our wedding at Villa Amor and everything was absolutely perfect! Karen is sweet, warm, friendly, and just wants your special day to be worry free and perfect, which ours definitely was! Karen and I exchanged hundreds of emails in the year leading up to our wedding and Karen was able to make everything I had envisioned come to life and it was even more magical than I thought it would be. Everything the day of the wedding was taken care of by Karen and I had absolutely nothing to worry about! I am an event planner myself and wanted to be stress-free for the biggest event of my life and Karen made that possible. Karen was so easy to work with in advance of our wedding, mostly nailing down the myriad of small details via email, which was truly invaluable. We would never have been able to take care of things like renting chairs or finding a great Latin band in Mexico from the states. But the REAL recommendation comes from arriving in Sayulita and meeting her! She was truly amazing in person, she was so caring, so sweet, so full of love for us. Upon meeting her, we felt like she was an old friend we must have known her for many years! She was easy-going, fun and a beautiful person to work with. Together we continued to come up with ideas the week of, adding special little details to the ceremony, such as the flowers she shared with us to hang in the "wedding tree" that were made by the villagers in her grandparents village. The dinner on the back patio of the Gran Villa was also absolutely incredible, the food, the view, the "hidden" kitchen... Everyone had an amazing time, but most of all us! It is a day we will of course never forget. Thank you to Karen and everyone at the Villa Amor for being so gracious to our entire group.

We are from the United States and were planning a wedding in Sayulita Mexico. We thought it would be a great location for a wedding, but initially thought the planning was going to be difficult. We found Karen as our wedding coordinator and she made everything so simple! I just told her what kind of theme we wanted to pull off, color scheme, as well as sent her pictures of things we liked via email. Karen also had some great ideas for our wedding theme, and was very helpful in the planning process. We didn't know much about the area of Sayulita and Karen helped give us as much information as possible. When we got to Sayulita our guests where blown a way by the location. It was so beautiful! The wedding and reception went very smoothly and I didn't worry about a thing! It truly was a day to remember and charish forever. If I could get married to my husband all over again, I would do it in Sayulita Mexico again. It was so much fun and we are so glad that now that can be our anniversarry spot. We are going to try and make it back there every five years if we can. If you are planning a wedding in Mexico, get Karen as your wedding Coordinator. She is great! We could not be any happier with how our wedding at Villa Amor went last week! I spent about six months planning the wedding with Karen, and we exchanged dozens (perhaps hundreds?) of e-mails -- she was prompt, thoughtful, and gracious in each one. She is truly outstanding at what she does! I felt like all of the details I had requested were taken care of on the wedding day, without my needing to follow up on them. She was there every moment of the day, overseeing the vendors and staff, seamlessly dealing with issues that arose, and always available to answer my questions. Karen's recommendations for vendors -- particularly Joann Arruda as photographer and Mireya Quintero as a florist -- were great! Not being in Mexico to do my own research, I relied on Karen's suggestions, and the quality of my flowers and pictures are top notch. I highly recommend Joann and Mireya!!! Working with Karen was like having your best girlfriend as a wedding coordinator -- she was supportive and sweet, and I felt like I could ask her to bend over backward to help me. (When the hotel couldn't store my husband's surfboard for a month, Karen stored it herself -- was it in her living room? I don't know, but she made it happen!) When you have a destination wedding, you really have to rely on the wedding coordinator to make everything happen... and you couldn't ask for a kinder or more attentive person than Karen! She helped create the most magical wedding I could have imagined -- and I wouldn't change a thing! THANK YOU KAREN! :) I can't wait to see you on our next trip to Sayulita.

There are not enough words to describe how perfect, personal, beautiful, and FUN our wedding at Villa Amor was! We owe this to our brilliant, friendly, organized, and extremely attentive Wedding Planner, Karen Ruezga, and the incredibly gracious staff at Villa Amor. We are so incredibly lucky to have gotten married in paradise. I must admit, I am quite detail oriented, and my husband can be a bit tenacious... so contracting to get married in Mexico (we're from NY) was one of the scariest things we have ever done, but once we were in Karen's hands, everything got easier by the day.Working with Karen was not only easy, but it was also fun! With Karen, we had a teammate in Mexico. She was always looking out for us, our needs and our budget. I nearly cried when I saw all of the little custom details Karen had infused into our wedding, from our gift bags to the decorations... we were both blown away by how involved and hands-on she was. Karen organized numerous events for us throughout the wedding, and got to know our families and friends along the way (who were so impressed with her that she is invited to every family event we have going forward!). Once we got to Mexico, all we had to do was dance! Karen executed every detail flawlessly -we didn't have to worry about a thing! Sayulita is a magical place -and Villa Amor is the most beautiful, welcoming and perfect place to stay there. Our guests (70 of them) are already planning our next trip back (literally)! The rooms, beaches, and staff are beyond all expectations. From the concierge, to the restaurant crew - everyone at Villa Amor made our stay personal, and friendly and fun. We cannot say enough great things about our experience... we can only hope that you take our word for it, and book your wedding here... it will be the best day of your lives.

We got married in February 2012 at Villa Amor and we can’t thank Karen enough for making our destination wedding so memorable for both ourselves and our guests. Our wedding celebrations included a cocktail party the day before the wedding, the wedding and reception, and a follow up breakfast. Each of our events had a number of elements to keep our guests entertained, and Karen made sure that all of these were well executed and according to our vision. We didn’t have to worry about a thing! We were very impressed by her offers to go out of her way to ensure that we got exactly what we wanted. The décor she arranged was beautiful and the guitar player, band and dancers were excellent. Karen was very easy to work with, and easy to contact leading up to and during the wedding. I would certainly recommend her.

It is hard to put into words the amazing experience we had with Karen with Mexico Weddings. She was very friendly, helpful and took care of everything. Wedding days are typically pretty hectic and crazy but Karen made it laid back and relaxed. My husband and I didn't have to worry about a thing. Everything Karen coordinated exceeded our expectations. Being a very creative person who loves to decorate and design, it was hard for me to have a destination wedding as I wasn't going to be able to bring all of the decorative details that I envisioned for my wedding. Karen filled in the holes of what I thought I was going to be missing. Everywhere I looked there were details based off my vision I had shared with her prior. We want to thank Karen who help us to have a perfect wedding in Villa Amor, Sayulita, definitly we had the wedding of our dreams, more than we expected, everything was perfect thanks to her wonderful attention to every single detail. We had a fantastic, amazing, epic wedding weekend at Villa Amor on the weekend of June 2nd, 2012! Karen was amazing. She was so kind, calm and helpful during the entire event. She has the perfect energy for dealing with all of the little hiccups of a big wedding. I was actually able to enjoy the entire wedding weekend without getting stressed out or wrapped up in planning and organizational details. When we choose Villa Amor as our wedding spot, my husband and I had no idea of what a large undertaking planning a wedding actually is. Karen helped us with every aspect of the planning, and I really don't think that we would have been able to pull it off without her. She was so helpful with letting us know about all of the different options that were available to us. On the day of the wedding, which wasn't until 6pm, Karen showed up bright and early at La Gran Villa and transformed the place. She took care of the flowers, decorations, tables, our special decorations, and so much more. I know she worked so hard all day, and it definitely showed, because it was beautiful.
