Casa Ballena is a small, aesthetically-designed vacation home, built for me by Sayulita's favorite architect, Estela Gayosso. The beautiful parota-wood doors open the livingroom onto the cantera-tiled terrace with the palapa providing shade and breezes, as well as entertaining space. It is only a 6-minute walk to downtown/beach.
Named for its whale fountain, Casa Ballena boasts a lovely "botanic" garden with rough cantera walkway, a palm-lined outdoor shower, a fully-equipped kitchen with a pass-through window for entertaining, and a little back yard with clothesline for those beach clothes.
The casita is located across the road from Manuel's Ranchito, and just to the left of a "glorieta" (turnaround) with a huge native "garobo" tree and a magnificent blue palm, Bismarkia nobilis .
Neighbors nearby have rental units for additional family members or larger groups who wish to be nearby. Inquire about this.
