Casita #6 at Casa Higuera in Sayulita is a spacious one-bedroom beachfront studio designed for guests seeking comfort, privacy, and the authentic charm of coastal Mexico. Located on the exclusive south-side hill, just steps from the beach and town, Casita #6 offers sweeping ocean views, traditional architecture, and a relaxed tropical ambiance.
Built with a blend of classic and contemporary Mexican design, the casita features palapa roofs, Spanish-style arches, vaulted ceilings, and colorful hand-painted Talavera tiles. The décor showcases authentic Mexican art and crafts collected from across the country, giving the space a warm and personal touch.
Through wide French doors, the front of the casita opens to a large private patio and garden—the biggest among all our casitas. From here, guests can enjoy gentle ocean breezes, lush tropical greenery, and tranquil views of the Pacific. The outdoor dining area beneath the palapa invites alfresco meals, morning coffee, or an evening cocktail as the sun sets over Sayulita Bay.
Inside, the open studio layout includes a king-size bed, private bath, and cozy sitting area with a couch that doubles as a twin bed for an additional guest. The full kitchen allows you to cook comfortably at home, and there’s plenty of space for dining and lounging indoors or out.
Guests enjoy access to the property’s UV-filtered pool, private beach area with lounge chairs, and service from The Dock, and a sense of connection to Sayulita’s vibrant yet laid-back lifestyle. Amenities include daily housekeeping (except Sundays), air conditioning, ceiling and floor fans, mosquito netting, a safe for valuables, and reliable high-speed Wi-Fi.

We kindly ask for at least one month’s notice for a full refund. After that period, we’re happy to provide a full refund if we’re able to re-rent the accommodation for your dates. We understand that unexpected situations can arise, and we’ll do our best to work with you if something prevents you from traveling.
Only “downside” were the stairs and walk into town were a bit steep, but we were prepared and told this before! Overall, great trip and place to stay. Would absolutely stay again!
Like a lot of people these days we chose to work remotely for some of our stay. Wifi was very reliable. I know a lot of people rely solely on local restaurants for their meals, and while we thoroughly enjoyed eating out, we also took advantage of the efficient, well stocked kitchen to prepare meals when we preferred to eat in.
The only issue is that the address on Google maps is not very clear and there is no building 100 labeled. you need to go to Casa Paloma which is 99 on that street and then just use the other door for the Casitas.
