Perfect Vacation Home
We stayed at Casa Serena, this gorgeous home on the water for the second year in a row. The location is absolutely ideal. The house and the beach feel incredibly private and yet it was within easy access of restaurants, shops, and outdoor excursions. One member of our party has celiac disease and was pleasantly surprised at the number of gluten free options and menu accommodations at a variety of restaurants that made dining out easy.

Paradise!
Wow, Casa Serena...This place is a dream. I walked through the front door and my jaw hit the floor. The beach feels completely private. Plenty of bedrooms in the house for a big family to stretch out. I will keep coming back here. This is the best vacation home I've ever stayed in.

Ideal Vacation Home and Great Experience
We enjoyed a one week stay and found Casa Serena to be a perfect home and experience for us. Located in a safe and secluded area of Punta de Mita, we have elected to come back to this house for another vacation given its ideal set-up.

This is a private and well-maintained home with a private pool that overlooks a relatively private sandy beach. Everything is easy and our routine of playing on the beach with a 10 second walk back to the house for food or anything else made it truly feel like we were immersed in paradise.

Great host who was responsive but rarely needed - everything from the wireless internet connection to daily bedding changes and house cleaning was issue-free.

I would highly recommend this location to anyone (families and couples).

Much needed getaway in paradise
Casa Serena is such a spectacular beachfront property and was exactly what we needed for our late February 2017 getaway from San Francisco. Our non-stop flight to PVR meant we left SF at breakfast and were sipping a drink on the beach watching the sunset by 4 PM.

The house was clean and well-appointed with bottled water available in the kitchen and each of the bathrooms. Group meals were easy to navigate with the open living arrangement that spilled out to a table near the pool. Sleeping was the best part with the soft crush of waves lulling you to sleep.

The house is located near several attractions including Sayulita, a fun beach town, the Four Seasons Resort in Punta Mita, and lots of water sport options less than 4 miles away in downtown Punta Mita. We spent one day snorkeling near Marietta Island and spotted many dolphins and whales on our brief boat trip to and from the island.

The owners were attentive and answered our questions. The dining options nearby were wonderful - from Casa De Mita next door, to the Four Seasons, to a spectacular dinner at Imanta (a secluded resort 15 minutes away that reminded us of Jurassic Park), and Don Pedro's beachfront restaurant in Sayulita. Perhaps nicest of all was that we felt extremely welcome by the local community and always felt safe. Would highly recommend this gem of a house to any family that could use some time away. Can't wait to come back!

WOW
I took my daughters to Casa Serena for a week and we loved everything about this home. The beach was awesome, the house was awesome, the staff was awesome and invisible. We woke up one morning and got to see a momma turtle moving across the beach returning to the ocean. We zip lined, paddle boarded, snorkeled, shopped, ate and drank until our hearts were content and then we swam in the pool and the ocean, walked on the beach and built sandcastles. The house is right between Punta Mita and Sayulita, perfect.....Punta Mita for a quick trip, Sayulita for the day or the night. We're ready to plan another trip back down.....

Slice of Heaven
Casa Serena was a little slice of heaven. The property was more than we could have hoped for- complete with stunning ocean views, a private beach all our own, and a sparkling blue pool and patio. The home cooked meal that was made by Benzita was some of the best Mexican food I've ever tasted. The house was very close to town and the resort/golf areas, but secluded enough to come back to our private retreat. My only wish would have been to stay longer. We cannot wait to go back!

Can't get better
You know how pictures are always misleading? Whether it's a MLS listing or a social network profile picture? This place is not one of them! When I saw Casa Serena online I didn't think it could get any better, but when I arrived I was shocked that it did. It's taken care of very well, cleaning ladies come throughout the week, a guy comes and turns down the pool area in the afternoon and there is a chef you can call to cook you authentic Mexican meals any night of the week. The house is located next to an amazing boutique hotel that serves arguably the best dinner in the area as well. We are there 3 nights in a row it was so good. The pool lies above an amazing beach, so you can pick your poison during the day. The beach is in it's own small private bay, providing you with amazing morning walks, body surfing and sunbathing. It's located a 5 minute drive to town, which is nice as you feel removed in a small piece of paradise and go to sleep by the sounds of crashing waves. Being my first time in the area I was amazing at how safe it felt, locals were all very friendly and it felt as if you were part of a community. 7 of us went down, all in our mid thirties and our only wish is that we could have stayed longer. I think the house would be great for kids as well. If you can, go to Casa Serena you will love it!

Perfection
Stayed at Casa Serena in early March 2014, and it was simply perfect. Breathtaking private beach, spacious home with a relaxing pool. My camera couldn't do justice to the views and right next door is a fantastic hotel that served top notch meals. Only 40 minutes north of the PV airport, this will be the only place I stay going forward when I visit Mexico. Even the town was enjoyable!!! We saw humpbacks for crying out loud! I can't wait to return.

Expectations surpassed!
One step inside Casa Serena and you experience that rare occasion where high expectations are instantly surpassed. What a place! It's the gem inside the gem of Punta Mita. In my 5 days there I only strayed once and couldn't wait to get back. And Hotel Casa de Mita next door is the cherry on top!

Words Will Not Do This Place Justice!
Where to start... If I said that everything was great I would be lying. Extraordinary, marvelous, sensational, picturesque is more the route I take to describe my stay at Casa Serena. Serena pretty much sits on a private beach, alongside other villas, but this one is definitely the cream out of the whole villa crop. All the rooms are very well cared for and pretty much stocked with anything you can thing of. Loved the mexican (with a modern twist) styled decor. We had Betzy cook for us the night we got there... delicioso. Weather wise, it was pretty hot when we went, but we only needed the air condition at night (amazing ocean breeze coming in throughout the day). Although we went during "rainy" season, the one or two times it did rain was mainly at night or early morning.
I highly recommend renting a car if your planning on doing activities. Avis at the airport gave us a great deal for seven people.. but always shop around first before you commit, and be mindful of extra conversion fees, etc.
All the good activities are based out of the Vallerta area, and some have a courtesy shuttle to take you to your main destination. I recommend sailing / snorkeling at the Marietas Islands with Pegaso Charting, and going to Rancho Capomo for Horseback riding / a mini hike through the Sierra Madre jungle to get to the swimming hole at the fresh waterfall. If you want to go to an authentic town to by art / mexican trinkets I also recommend the outdoors market in Bucerias. Sayulita is more of a surfer town, cool restaurants / bars there. If your are looking for a more "happening" spot, anywhere in Downtown Vallerta is the place to go.
After a full day of any activities you may have, coming home to Casa Serena is probably one of the best decisions you will make the entire trip.
So peaceful, so tranquil... It. Is. Everything.
