Just a short drive from Sayulita, Higuera Blanca is a little village located on the way to Punta de Mita. Named for the beautiful higuera (fig) trees that are abundant in the area, the name translates to white fig. These enormous trees have beautiful trunks and roots. When the figs are ripe, flocks of beautiful green parakeets can be seen feasting in the trees.
