Puerto Vallarta is a popular destination to spend a day-trip (or even a romantic night) during your Sayulita Vacation. With distinct neighborhoods such as Old Vallarta, Zona Romantica, and El Centro, you'll be sure to find plenty of lovely boutique hotels, exotic resturants and casual dining, as well as plenty of shopping! Just like Sayulita, Puerto Vallarta is very family-friendly and many establishments and activities are available and fun for all age groups. The lively and walkable mix of restaurants, shops, taco stands and tiendas (markets) feels like a bustling village. Puerto Vallarta is located within the state of Jalisco, and has the same seasonal changes as Nayarit. Puerto Vallarta is known for its tropical wet and dry climate, which means rainy and humid summers (especially in the months of July - September) and relatively dry winters.
