Casa Ocaso in Sayulita is a stunning contemporary Villa nestled in the jungle and just minutes from the North side of Sayulita beach. Never miss a sunset from the heated saltwater infinity pool or catch a sunrise from the upper balcony. Open up the large sliding doors to invite the soothing sounds of the surrounding jungle and waves crashing on the beach. This incredible space was designed and decorated by local architects and designers for the most unique authentic vacation. With a fully equipped kitchen, brand new grill, and large dining table staying in has never looked so good.
The house consists of 3 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, with the master bedroom on the top floor with its own private balcony for incredible sunset views.
The other bedrooms are located down the stairs. The midlevel bedroom is one level down with its own balcony and what we call the casita is another level down. The casita has a kitchenette and a hot tub outside on the patio. The casita also has its own private entrance and parking spot.
All bedrooms are equipped with King sized beds to comfortably accommodate all your guests. With 2 couches you can fit an additional 2 people for a max of 8 guests.

Laura is wonderful to work with, her flexibility and communication are top notch and she truly wants visitors to have a great time at her lovely home. Rene, the house manager, is also fantastic. He is able to answer any questions you might have and will help with renting a golf cart (which we definitely recommend as the walk up and down the hill is prohibitive for most people) or a ride to the airport.

The house is roomy and spotless. It is one of the nicest places we have stayed, with top notch construction, lighting and beautiful stone and terrazzo floors and top notch appliances and details. The ceilings are magnificent.
The tradeoff for the views is that the house is at the top of a very long, steep hill. Golf carts are essential. You cannot reasonably walk anywhere, and bikes are out of the question. The trip up and down the hill and to town is quick and easy in a golf cart, no problem to run to the store or an errand, just don't expect to walk anywhere from the house unless you plan to use it for a pretty extreme workout. You can leave surfboards wherever you rent and scoot up and down twice a day to surf, no problem.
We would recommend the house.
We really enjoyed the location it was private and the ocean views were amazing. Hearing the waves crash was an added plus. The hill was not an issue at all, it was an easy golf cart ride into town. You can be at a restaurant, connivence store or the North Beach in under 5 minutes.
Rene the host was great, he made check in really easy for us. He also accommodated us with a late check out at no extra charge. Rene and Laura are top notch hosts, they are very responsive and quick to make great suggestions.
We will definitely stay at Casa Ocasa next time we come back to Sayulita.
We know Sayulita well, so were aware of the steep walk up to the house and Rene helped with golf cart rental as well. Our group loved the hike up the hill, but if you have anyone that isn't up for the walk make sure you have the appropriate golf cart for them. That said, the location also makes it one of the quietest houses we have stayed in our many visits to Sayulita.
