Additional Listing Information

Welcome to LOMA VERDE in Sayulita, a small community of 4 luxurious, eco-friendly villas which can be used as your primary home, a vacation get-away, or an income producing, high-end vacation rental.

ERIC STEINMAN is a builder from Crested Butte, Colorado, who is building his dream here in Sayulita. He is developing this project with full attention to detail and beauty while not only minimizing the impact on the environment, but also using the latest ideas and technology in green building to help start a trend of green building practices in Sayulita and the surrounding areas. He has been studying Permaculture techniques which will be used to make Loma Verde comfortable, beautiful, and sustainable. There is a one-bedroom casita on the property where Eric will live and be the on-site manager of the complex. He will be available for full property management or whatever needs the owner may have. ARTURO FERNANDEZ of FERNANDEZ ARQUITECTOS (builders of Los Almendros and Casablanca) is the designer and builder of the project. He and Eric will work together to make sure this is one of the most spectacular projects Sayulita has ever seen.

The houses will be constructed from adobe bricks. The earthen walls will keep the houses much cooler in the summer and warmer on those cool winter nights. There will be no (or very little) need for air conditioning which is by far the number one energy consumer in Sayulita. There will be photo-voltaic (solar) panels to help with, if not supply all of, our electrical needs, as well as solar hot water panels to heat our domestic hot water and keep the swimming pool warmer in the winter (cooler in the summer). Gray water systems will be used to recycle most of our domestic water for use in watering our gardens and lawns. This reduces our impact on the town's sewer system and also lowers our usage of the town water supply.
