5.  Completed education?  I went to high school for two years.

6.  Married/Family? I am married to my wife Adriana Ligonio and have five children.  Fernando 16 years, Jorge 15 years, Eduardo 14 years, and the twins Miguel and Manuel 12 years.

Employment/Occupation history:  Currently, I am the owner of Sayulita' s first and only purified water and ice company, Fuente de Sayulita.  From the age of 20 to 28, I worked as a commercial/industrial diver in the Gulf of Mexico.  In 1997, I purchased the Calypso Bar (renamed) and have worked with it ever since.

8. One positive change you have observed Sayulita:  There is definitely a better lifestyle for all of us who live here, offering us a plethora of methods of work opportunities.

9. One negative change you have observed Sayulita:  With all growth comes change.  An increasing population in Sayulita brings more cars/traffic and stray animals.  There is not enough parking in Sayulita anymore.
9. Algún cambio negativo que haya observado en Sayulita:  Con todo el crecimiento proviene cambio. Un aumento de la población en Sayulita trae más coches/tráfico y los animales. No hay suficiente estacionamiento en Sayulita.

10. How do you imagine Sayulita in 10 years?  Well, Sayulita will more than double in size in the next ten years.  The state of Nayarit currently has a population of 1.2 million people.  Projections for the year 2020 show at least 2.4 million people in just the Bahia de Banderas and Compestela (capital) areas alone.  Most likely, Sayulita will be 100% tourism-based and provide an even better standard of living for all of us. 
10.  Cómo imagina Sayulita en 10 años? Bueno, Sayulita será más del doble en tamaño en los próximos diez años. El estado de Nayarit cuenta en la actualidad con una población de 1,2 millones de personas. Las proyecciones para el año 2020 muestran por lo menos 2,4 millones de personas sólo en la Bahía de Banderas y Compestela esferas por sí solas. 11.  A recommendation or comment for the people of Sayulita:  I would like to tell the citizens of Sayulita that right now, they should plan for their future.  I think many people here feel that THIS is what Sayulita is.  Not true, this town will change.  Hold on to your properties.  Do not sell them.  And lastly, work hard now because you have the opportunity to do so.
11.  Alguna recomendación o comentario que quiera hacer a la gente de Sayulita: Quisiera decir a los ciudadanos de Sayulita que ahora mismo, que debería planificar para su futuro. Creo que mucha gente aquí piense que Sayulita es AHORA. No es cierto, este pueblo va a cambiar. Conserve sus propiedades. No venderlos. Y por último, trabajan duro ahora, ustedes tienen la oportunidad de hacerlo.

Spay/Neuter Clinic for Sayulita

Last Saturday, Upi Viteri of "Patas Sayulita", the local organization which holds spay/neuter clinics, held an important meeting. She, along with her team, put together a presentation describing their "vision" for the future of the organization and for the animals of Sayulita. A core group of local, dedicated animal lovers and organization supporters were the guests as they closely listened to the ideas in the presentation.

"We want to have a humane society that is dedicated to the cats and dogs of this community year-round" stated Tamara the presenter for the evening. "The overpopulation of these domestic animals is a community problem which causes unwanted animal suffering, damage to ecosystems and human health issues".

The focus of the society will be education, adoption, available medical services for all in need, and permanent free spay/neuter. The goal is to have these programs facilitated through a veterinary clinic located right in the heart of Sayulita. "We need to put our heads together and come up with ways to make this happen. We need people, ideas, resources and funds to contribute to this collective goal". "With the increase of globally conscious people and money in this area the project will form in no time."

Los Gatos y Perros de Sayulita

El pasado sábado, Viteri Upi de "Sayulita Patas", la organización local que ocupa spay / neutro clínicas, que se celebró una importante reunión. Ella, junto con su equipo, juntos una presentación describiendo su "visión" para el futuro de la organización y de los animales de Sayulita. Un grupo básico de los entes locales, dedicados amantes de los animales y la organización seguidores fueron los invitados que estén estrechamente escuchados las ideas en la presentación.

"Queremos tener una sociedad más humana que se dedica a los perros y gatos de esta comunidad durante todo el año" dijo Tamara el presentador de la noche. "La superpoblación de estos animales domésticos es un problema de la comunidad que causa el sufrimiento de los animales no deseados, daños a los ecosistemas y la salud humana cuestiones".
El objetivo principal de la sociedad será la educación, la adopción, los servicios médicos disponibles para todos los que la necesitan, permanente y libre spay / neutro.

El objetivo es que estos programas han facilitado a través de una clínica veterinaria situada en el corazón de Sayulita. "Tenemos que poner nuestras cabezas en conjunto y llegar a la forma de hacer que esto ocurra. Necesitamos personas, ideas, recursos y fondos para contribuir a este objetivo colectivo ". "Con el aumento de la conciencia a nivel mundial de personas y dinero en este ámbito, el proyecto forma en ningún momento."
