Casa Angel in Sayulita was designed by Miguel Valverde, a well known Mexican Architect whose work has been featured in Houses of the Pacific Coast. It is so lovely and graceful, that when you sit in the pool, you will find yourself staring up at it and smiling. And what a setting! The expansive ocean view includes a long stretch of rugged coastline, the palm-lined beach, as well as the lagoon where the fishermen of Sayulita moor their boats. On the land side, Casa Angel sits directly beside a wild and completely undeveloped jungle canyon. The ocean breezes are nearly constant, and you can fall to sleep to the gentle sound of waves breaking on the shore. At night, the lights of Sayulita glitter below. The sunsets are magnificent, and in every room are large wooden doors and windows, which fold open to create an airy indoor/outdoor lifestyle perfect for the tropics.

So Exquisite You Won't Want to Stay Anywhere Else

Surrounding Casa Angel is an extensive, flower-filled garden, and a lush level lawn. Beyond the lawn is a gracefully curved heated saltwater pool, not a dipping pool, but one that is large enough to swim laps. And it’s all yours. Since there are no casitas or other units on the property, once you close the garden gate behind you, no one will enter except at your invitation. Lounge in the sunshine and take a night swim in the sparkling lighted pool.

Casa Angel in Sayulita features three totally separate, private bedrooms with adjoining baths. The upstairs Master Bedroom is ringed with a flower box filled with flowers. The other upstairs white bedroom has a beautiful view of the water. The downstairs bedroom opens directly onto the patio and pool, and not only has a gorgeous ocean view, but looks out as well into the wild jungle canyon.

The breathtaking natural surroundings, combined with an exceptional attention to detail, literally surround you with beauty. Ringing the floors of each of the round rooms, as well as in the mirador, pool, patio, and paths you will find delicate inlaid stone vines and flowers by talented artisan Lupe Ascencia. Towering above the upstairs bedrooms are palapas, whose workmanship will amaze and delight you.

Casa Angel offers luxury furninghings throughout. In the Master Bedroom you will find fine hardwood furniture from Malaysia, and in the downstairs bedroom, a beautiful white four poster bed with a canopy.  The white room has locally made furnishing and art work. Curvy wrought iron outdoor chairs and a marble table allow you to eat outdoors in style, while chaise lounges and chairs imported from the U.S make you comfortable around the pool. The kitchen counters and the patio are crafted of a beautiful mango colored local rock called Tekul. The new furnishings in the living room and updated kitchen makes for wonderful entertaining.

Casa Angel in Sayulita would be the perfect place for a honeymoon. But if you aren’t on your honeymoon, why not treat yourself to this anyway?

A house manager and I will keep in contact with guests during their stay. Chemo the gardener will care for the garden three times a week. Carmina our maid will clean three days a week except Sunday and holidays (unless this is not wanted.). Our local English and Spanish speaking house manager and  I  will be available to handle any problems or questions which arise. Air conditioning is available during the summer in all three bedrooms, and is not needed at other times because of the almost constant ocean breezes. The walk down to the beach is only about five minutes, but because the house sits high on a hill, if you are disabled or out of shape for walking, you may wish to bring a car or rent a golf cart, which you can park in the palapa covered carport just beyond the garden gate. The house is located on a good cobblestone road.

Sayulita has ongoing construction projects throughout the town and in several neighborhoods which may or may not take place during your stay.

Nothing short of spectacular.
Casa Angel is simply marvelous in every aspect. The pictures and written descriptions are 100% accurate. From beginning to end, the process starting with my first outreach until we left the house was fabulous. Itzel (the house manager) was super responsive offering to meet us on our arrival to show us around (which was not necessary due to the quality of the pre-arrival communication). She was also extremely helpful in assisting us with other needs that we had during the stay and for recommendations about activities, restaurants, transportation, etc. The house itself is nothing short of spectacular. The views and pictures speak for themselves and, if anything, understate the beauty and tranquility of the home and neighborhood. Everything within the home works incredibly well, including hot water, air conditioning, lighting, kitchen appliances, linens, indoor and outdoor furniture, WiFi, The pool is immaculate and the water was pleasantly warm. Since our stay was relatively brief, we only interacted once with Carmina and she also did a great job keeping the house beautifully clean. In short, the place is fantastic. Numerous others have commented about the steep climb up (and down!), which is what affords the magnificent views. We rented a golf cart at first but there were only a few places that would rent to us because not all golf carts are strong enough for the steep hill. We decided to return the cart after the first day because cabs are so easy and affordable.

Beautiful Location
The property was beautifully located on top of the hill with a gorgeous view. The house had most everything we needed for a long weekend. The owner was really accommodating and easy to communicate with. We rented a golf cart and that was super helpful in getting around. There were a lot of bugs so bring bugs spray.

Amazing View
House is awesome and the view of the bay is amazing. Pool is very nice. Only downside is that the house is near the top of a VERY steep hill, it’s essentially mandatory to rent a golf cart unless you want to hike uphill for 5-10 mins every time you head back. The golf carts still struggle with the grade, we had a smoking motor a couple times after going up with 4 people onboard. Not a real issue, just something to plan for.

Better than the Pictures
Our family of 4 had a wonderful time staying here. We have 2 teenaged boys, 17 and 18, and we had plenty of room. The house is as advertised. Up on hill with an amazing view, ocean breezes, and a great pool that we spent a lot of time in. The setting is idyllic with incredible landscaping and views from every room, parking for 2 cars, good internet, charging for golf carts, and more. We visited a few of the other properties we were considering and are so glad we chose this place. It's better than the pictures.

Beautiful house and excellent view
We loved the house, my 2 children and my husband stayed there and it was excellent. Very close to the beach and the town to buy food. The wonderful view, if you are looking for a quiet place, it is the ideal place.

Stunning View!
We had a wonderful stay, the house was perfect in every way. Every room in the house has a beautiful view and conveniently located just a short distance from town. Peaceful and Quiet
This property is located high above the north section of Sayulita, looking South West towards the ocean and town. It was quiet when we were there and it felt like a little refuge after going out for dinner or down to the beach. It was hot when we were there and if you’re not fit, you’ll definitely want a golf cart as the hill to the property is quite steep. The trade off is that there isn’t much traffic and it was peaceful other than some local construction during the day. Eric, the property manager, was incredibly helpful at check in and was in contact throughout. When there was a small leak (it’s Mexico) he was responsive and made sure we were taken care of. Everything in the home functioned perfectly and we would stay here again. We were four adults, but six could stay here easily. Thanks again to Eric and our hosts!
