A great celebration should feel personal not like a playlist simply being played from beginning to end.

My approach combines music curation, intuition, technical experience, and thoughtful preparation to create a soundtrack that reflects the people at the heart of the celebration while keeping their guests connected throughout the experience.

For weddings, my first priority is always the couple: understanding what they love, what they don’t want, and how they imagine their celebration feeling. At the same time, I pay attention to everyone sharing that moment with them younger and older guests, friends, family, different cultures, personalities, and musical tastes.

From there, I transform their musical selections into carefully designed moments and evolving musical blocks. The intention is to give different groups their moment, create connection across generations, build energy naturally, and know when it is time to bring everyone together on the dance floor without losing the couple’s musical identity.

 

Music With Intention

One of my strongest skills is taking the music a couple gives me and transforming it into a coherent musical journey.
Rather than treating requests as an isolated list of songs, I look for relationships between genres, eras, energy levels, rhythms, and memories. Each part of the celebration has a purpose from the first arrivals to dinner, special moments, and eventually the dance floor.
The goal is simple: every musical chapter should feel intentional, and the best ones should become memories.

My specialties
Include the sounds of the ’70s, ’80s, ’90s and 2000s, with a strong foundation in soul, funk, disco, R&B, classic hip-hop and Latin music. At the same time, years of open-format DJing have given me the versatility to move naturally between generations, cultures and musical styles when the room calls for it.

 

Reading the Room

Preparation matters, but weddings are alive. People react differently than expected, timelines change, weather changes, speeches run long, and sometimes the song you thought would work is simply not the right song for that moment.

That is where intuition becomes important.

I pay attention to the room, the couple and their guests, adjusting the music without losing the identity we created together. Knowing when to stay with a musical direction, when to change it, and when to let a moment breathe is a major part of my work.

 

Problem Solving & Event Experience

My background goes beyond DJing.

I have experience in audio engineering, music production, live performance, cultural music events and event coordination, which allows me to understand both the creative and technical sides of a celebration.

That experience is especially useful when an event requires quick decisions: repositioning sound equipment, adapting connections between systems, coordinating with musicians or production teams, troubleshooting audio, or finding a practical solution when conditions change.

I approach those situations calmly and objectively: identify what matters most, solve what can be solved, and keep unnecessary technical problems away from the couple.
 

Easy Coordination for Destination Weddings

Spanish is my first language, and I work comfortably in both Spanish and English, which makes communication easier between international couples, local venues, wedding planners, musicians and production teams.

Clear communication before the event is a major part of my process. I value timelines, preparation and defined responsibilities, while remaining flexible when real-life events require adjustments.

The couple comes first, and their guests naturally come with them.
